Slack is a game changer
What do you like best? Slack is the modern instant messenger but for business. My 6 colleges and I use it 24/7 to communicate whether we're in our own offices or working from home. It's awesome. What do you dislike? I can't' think of anything. I guess I wish that more people would have slack too. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We don't have to pick up the phone and interrupt each other to ask simple questions.

Good if you learn how to manage it
What do you like best? I appreciate the attention to detail in the application, things like seeing a person's activity as they type a reply and the way it helps me set my status to match the ebb and flow of my work day (do not disturb, setting me to "away" when my computer is asleep, etc.). What do you dislike? I have to do a lot manually. The way my company has things set up, I have limited options on setting up custom workflows, so if I want to take a lunch break, for instance, and ...

Easy to keep in touch, even during a pandemic
What do you like best? Slack has been something I've used for communication as a volunteer and in my current position and it's great to be able to have ongoing channels that are public or private, group chats, and tagging features. What do you dislike? Sometimes I wish my profile could be customized more. I have had some tech issues with push notifications before. I also think it would be great to have a way to sort my channels by priority. Recommendations to others considering the ...

Best Tool for Work
What do you like best? Slack makes it easy to communicate with everyone on the team. Since it is built with a friendly chat-based UI, it feels less formal and more comfortable to speak to anyone in your company. It is way faster than email. Meanwhile, Channels makes it a lot easier to group conversations. It helps to set the tone for any conversation. Another feature I love is File storage. I can easily find all media files shared within a group. What do you dislike? Slack ...

The way of the remote world
What do you like best? I love being able to quickly ping my co-workers about a question or suggestion or simply a quick note to say hello either from my computer or the ease from my phone or Chromebook. What do you dislike? There is nothing I really dislike about Slack. We are on the free plan so it is understandable that some features, such as the viewing history of more of our past messages, would not be included for financial and sustainability purposes. What problems are you ...

Not as great a tool as original thought
What do you like best? Keeps communication in one place and out of your inbox! What do you dislike? The threads are only stored for a set time. The search feature didn't work if you needed to go back and find a conversation. Hard to navigate through the program. Recommendations to others considering the product: There is other products better out there. If you can only afford Slack it has some valuable resources but realize there will be limitations (at least in the version we ...

Awesome communication tool
What do you like best? The feature that we can form groups as per our project. Also, the sharing of files is very easy. They have added calling features as well. Collaboration is very easy and there are many channels too where you can post your queries and people can discuss the same. One could send a message to themselves which I use as a side note for myself. It has a lot of emojis and I can use any of them. It also has a lot of formatting options which makes it really cool to use. All ...
