An awesome sales tool when it comes to design.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Being able to put up a design and presenting them to customers quickly. At the moment, I'm using SketchUp for designing photo voltaic solar installation for both business owners and home owners. Thanks to my fluency in architecture design, Sketchup makes it possible for me to visualize design with my customers. This can be done by means of a presentation in rendering a layout for their approval. What aspects are problematic or could ...

Considered to be one of the easiest platforms to work with.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? The simplicity in which you can create 3D and editing it is one of the many wonderful things with SketchUp. Once you come up with a basic drafted plan in Autocad, the massing model can successfully be made within minutes. I've been utilizing SketchUp for urban planning and building scale. It gave me precise output in terms of quality. What aspects are problematic or could work better? Two things I hate with SketchUp. One is not ...

User-friendly modeling software.

What do you like best? Simplicity of use for concept modeling. User interface is very clean and it has an easy learning curve. The model warehouse and availability of materials makes it very east to generate a concept model. What do you dislike? Imports from Revit are decent but could be improved. Each instance in Revit becomes a separate group in Sketchup. For example, a single wall that has three different segments, all of the same construction, ends up as three separate groups in ...
