SketchUp Reviews & Ratings
Spotsaas Editor’s POV
SketchUp's main strength is its learning curve—most users move from basic to productive within days, not weeks. The 3D-to-2D conversion works reliably for architectural drawings and permit sets. The component library is extensive, which speeds up common tasks like adding doors, windows, and furniture. However, verify in a demo that the software handles your ...Read more

The best 3D software in the market.
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I like how you can use SketchUp. It's comparable to sketching up cartoon figures. It adds a bit of fun to creating important models. I've been using this with Infraworks Software. What aspects are problematic or could work better? The one thing that I disapprove is how they carried out their texturing. I feel it needs to be more user-friendly including its export area. I faced issues where certain texture won't push through whenever ...

Ideal for 3D modeling without much effort
What do you like best? The best thing about the sketchup program is that it has basic tools in a user-friendly environment which allows you to learn to model without much effort What do you dislike? Perhaps the basics of this program do not allow you to explore more deeply what 3D design can give for both modeling and rendering You usually have errors in the program Recommendations to others considering the product: Having a powerful enough computer when rendering What ...

Great, simple CAD program
What do you like best? Interface is fantastic and very intuitive to use from the get-go. Have had members of my team never use 3D modeling programs before, and after a few months they’ve mastered the program like a pro. Love using Sketchup to render a real-life project digitally to save time and energy on first drafts. Just need dimensions and specs and I can make it come to life digitally before it does physically. What do you dislike? Been using Sketchup for awhile, and nothing I ...

SketchUp modelling software review
What do you like best? The model warehouse and availability of materials makes it very east to generate a concept mode. What do you dislike? In this software, imports from Revit are decent but could be improved. Each instance in Revit becomes a separate group in Sketchup. Recommendations to others considering the product: This is a good software for modelling and easy to use therefore I highly recommend it to others. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

Rendering with sketchup is very easy
What do you like best? Sketchup is a 3D modeling software, it is used generally for rendering, surveying and mapping so it is good for that What do you dislike? It has less modern 3D tools than other softwares has and it generally crashes when we import 3d max to sketchup. Recommendations to others considering the product: Who all are looking for rendering works they should use sketchup. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

SketchUp review for Rendering
What do you like best? Ease of rendering finish applications versus CAD. What do you dislike? Making adjustments after bringing in CAD drawing before making finish adjustments. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It takes some time to get used to the controls and pan/zoom can feel a bit erratic at times until you are used to them.

Always can rely on sketchup
What do you like best? It's not just a ver simple user interface which makes 3d modelling an ease for anyone with beginner level experience - but you can get really complex with sketchup, especially as they continually update their software to allow for more dynamics in 3d modelling. This is by far my favourite 3d modelling softeare especially since its compatible with vray and because you can export cad lines easily. What do you dislike? Sketchup could introduce more tools to allows ...

Simple, easy to use but limited in its complexity
What do you like best? Sketchup is by far, one of the easiest 3d modelling softwares to learn and use. Very quickly, designs can be modelled to give ideas on massing etc. What do you dislike? Sketchup is a simple program, when given more complex shapes and geometries it suffers. Recommendations to others considering the product: It's a great program to begin with that isn't as complicated as a full cad software What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have ...
