Are you using Sketch?
Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Sketch is macOS and iPad only—if your team uses Windows or Linux, you'll need a separate tool or browser-based alternative for those users. The color picker has a known lag when sampling from external applications, which matters if you're matching brand palettes frequently. Before committing, verify in a demo that Sketch's component system (symbols) works for ...Read more

Designing with Sketch – An Honest Review
What do you like best? The team behind Sketch is creating tools for the next wave of designers, their ability to be agile with releases and design tips makes this a great tool. What do you dislike? Initially there is a learning curve, I've been designing with Adobe products for as long as I can remember, so making the switch definitely slowed down my workflow, but this isn't really a dislike, more just a learning curve issue. What problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Sketch Review
What do you like best? The user friendly shortcuts and commands make it a simple alternative to Photoshop, while providing helpful templates to easily start creation of apps and web design. I especially like the way in which Sketch has the iOS and Android icons easily accessible. What do you dislike? The pen tool doesn't flow with ease in the same way that Illustrator works. I often wish that Sketch had more photo editing capabilities like Photoshop, but ultimately I use Sketch for ...

Great product
What do you like best? Sketch was very intuitive and easy to use. As someone approaching the tool with 0 design experience, I was able to learn very quickly and it's a great place to start for people with limited experience like myself. What do you dislike? Sometimes it felt a bit limited in what you could accomplish, but this was a minor detail. Recommendations to others considering the product: It's affordable and easy to use, definitely worth considering What problems are you ...

Fabulous software - really fits into current web app workflow
What do you like best? Export options, app UI really feels right for modern web development. PNG, SVG dartboard flexibility really works. In addition, the third party plugin community is very robust. What do you dislike? Lack of nuance with drawing tools leaves something to be desired. Much to be caught up with in terms of drawing tools available in Adobe Illustrator Recommendations to others considering the product: Worth comparing to other Illustration tools to see if it meets ...

Best Design Software
What do you like best? Sketch is definitely the best software for UI/UX design. It's easy to pick up and one of the fastest to use. What do you dislike? It's really hard to find anything to dislike about Sketch. Recommendations to others considering the product: Just do it. The best way to learn Sketch is to find a great design (or one that you've done previously and try to mimic it in Sketch. Trying to be creative and design at the same time as learning a new piece of software is ...

LOVE using Sketch
What do you like best? I love how quick it is to prototype a beautiful site from nothing. It's amazing how intuitive the interface is! What do you dislike? Sometimes the "smart" spacing between inline elements doesn't work very well. For example trying to space out items on a menu bar by an equal pixel distance. The first couple will space equally with the smart tool, then out of nowhere the next one will be super wonky and not show up with the smart snapping pixel amount. ...

Love it
What do you like best? Easy to use. Clean designs. Syncs with Invision. What do you dislike? Not as quick as Axure. Better for design than for wireframes. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Wireframing, design, and prototyping. Sketch syncing with Invision is great for prototypes.

The new standard in digital design tools
What do you like best? Completely vector-based with extremely fine precision control and pixel preview. What do you dislike? Changing their business model from one-time-payment to one-time-payment-for-access-with-subscription-for-any-future-updates isn't ideal, but not a total deal-breaker. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Creating cleaner, higher-fidelity mockups and interfaces in a shorter amount of time.
