Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Sketch is macOS and iPad only—if your team uses Windows or Linux, you'll need a separate tool or browser-based alternative for those users. The color picker has a known lag when sampling from external applications, which matters if you're matching brand palettes frequently. Before committing, verify in a demo that Sketch's component system (symbols) works for ...Read more

Best Design Software EVER

What do you like best? Where do I begin? Everything is incredible. This is my favorite software. The learning curve is minimal and the platform is powerful! Its a one-time payment and its the best money spent. What do you dislike? WIsh it was industry leading and took down illustrator. I wish it had compatibility with adobe files to streamline work so I never need adobe again. Recommendations to others considering the product: Hands down the best money that I have spent on ...

Easy to pick-up

What do you like best? Sketch is a great prototyping tool, much simpler to pick up and understand than the typical Adobe program, and is routinely updated frequently with useful features and improvements. Great for typical prototyping projects as well as other graphical layouts, since it's so quick and lightweight. What do you dislike? It's only easy to understand once you learn the key concepts - and the best way to do this is by hearing it from someone else, or watching/reading ...

Solid rock tool for UI Design

What do you like best? Skecth has too many good things but I will only list the ones that are the most important to me. First and by far, what I like best about sketch is its solidity to work. It is - within UI design programs - the one that works best, restarts not very often and can deal very well with very heavy files. Being specially built for the MacOS platform, it makes it very stable. I have worked with other new design programs that are electron based and are very slow. ...

Great tool for fast web design

What do you like best? Sketch isn't too complicated or too basic. Easy tool for creating vector graphics without having to get into the complexities of Illustratror. What do you dislike? I'm still learning the software. Most of my dislikes are related to not being terribly familiar with it yet. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Quickly diagraming for web design and product management.

Full visual design and wireframe abilities at a fraction of the cost

What do you like best? This provides a stellar combination of image/shape creation, smart objects, and text editing, all crucial to the wireframing and visual design process. My favorite feature? It has the best in panel eye-dropper tool I've ever experienced. A bit silly, but as a designer it's a breath of fresh air. My agency uses sketch as a Fireworks Replacement. After dealing with intense crashes and a lack of up to date features, we haven't looked back and use it as our primary ...

Sketch is the design tool I have been waiting for as a UX Designer!

What do you like best? Sketch is such an incredible tool -- it has replaced a multitude of other tools for me as a UX designer, which is something I appreciate. I use it for wireframing, prototyping, and full pixel perfect designs working on a product team in the software startup industry. The best thing about it is that is is simpler than Photoshop and more intuitive than most Adobe products. What do you dislike? The only thing I do not like about Sketch is how you save. The only ...
