Are you using Sketch?
Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Sketch is macOS and iPad only—if your team uses Windows or Linux, you'll need a separate tool or browser-based alternative for those users. The color picker has a known lag when sampling from external applications, which matters if you're matching brand palettes frequently. Before committing, verify in a demo that Sketch's component system (symbols) works for ...Read more

Sketch helped me learn why I should be using vectors
What do you like best? The price is more reasonable than the Adobe Suite, there's a trial period and a ton of great courses to get you up and running. The interface is also very user-friendly. What do you dislike? I find Illustrator's integration to be more useful than Sketch as a standalone product. That's not really a knock on Sketch. Recommendations to others considering the product: Sketch might not be powerful enough for you if you are a enterprise level graphic designer or ...

Sketch is a versatile UI design tool
What do you like best? I use Sketch daily for creating mobile & web UIs. I love the export feature, particularly when mocking interactions in Origami Studio, because it can exports as layers or flat .jpegs. There are a variety of useful preset templates. I also really love the symbol tool for commonly used designs such as buttons, headers, etc., because it allows you to simply drop in the symbol, and you can still make one-off design changes to it as necessary, saving significant time ...

Easy to use design platform for digital design
What do you like best? Sketch uses a light grey, minimal UI. There's not a bunch of stuff cluttering up the screen and the color scheme is clean and neutral to create against. Menus and palettes are visible when you need them and they never get "lost" behind other windows on your desktop. The menus are clean and concise, making it easy to find what you need. Sketch includes preset artboard sizes for the types of devices digital designers are most likely to be creating for. This keeps you ...

Perfect for UI Design
What do you like best? It's fast and works smoothly even when designs get complicated with a lot of screens. What do you dislike? Does not have much image-manipulation related tools, as well as has some issues with rendering when we zoom-in/out. Recommendations to others considering the product: Absolutely recommend this for every UI/UX/Screen Designer What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? For UI/UX for various flows. Especially ...

A pretty good design tool. Not a photoshop replacement.
What do you like best? Much simpler and easier to use than photoshop. The sketch squares feature allows you to add photos directly from instagram which is an excellent and seamless feature. Mac-friendly. Very affordable. What do you dislike? Lots of bugs which seem to never be fixed. When you type, sometimes, your whole sentence disappears. It only re-appears after you finish typing. The support at sketch for solving bugs seems to be lacking and almost non-existent. ...

Best UI Software I've Used
What do you like best? I like that Sketch is designed for UX/UI designers. It constantly updates with new and exciting things. What do you dislike? The typography makes me so mad. The line height is glitchy and there's no good way to set text styles. If I have something set, but I want it centered in another place, I have to make a new text style but if i update one, I now have to update both. Also the vectors are very complicated to create and edit. Recommendations to others ...

Sketch likely hasn't yet reached its full potential...
What do you like best? Sketch is great as a purpose-specific / targeted tool for user interface design. It allows you to focus on and have easy access to just the features that you need in order to do this type of work. That being said, it still has a long way to go in order to be truly useful. What do you dislike? Sketch is horrendous in the way it handles typographic details / features. I have to say that this is where Adobe Creative Cloud apps still have an advantage over many ...

Greatest thing since sliced bread!
What do you like best? The fact that the interface is very clean and simple is a massive help to the speed of prototyping. Plug ins are a major help especially when you are needing to do a grid of images/user photos etc. The way that Sketch is priced is a nice feature. It's a cross between a one-off and subscription based model. What do you dislike? To be honest there isn't much to dislike about this product. Recommendations to others considering the product: Great piece of software ...

I wish there were more options for controlling brush settings Recommendations to others considering the product: It’s really fun and easy to use! What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It allows me to skip entire time consuming steps. I can sketch directly into the computer at perfect resolution.
