Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Sketch is macOS and iPad only—if your team uses Windows or Linux, you'll need a separate tool or browser-based alternative for those users. The color picker has a known lag when sampling from external applications, which matters if you're matching brand palettes frequently. Before committing, verify in a demo that Sketch's component system (symbols) works for ...Read more

Sketch: What's So Good About It?

What do you like best? I can edit the art boards in real-time and I can make all kinds of shape adjustments with ease. I love the pre-sizes that comes with the software. Also, since their most recent update, they added prototyping. What do you dislike? It's only for Mac users so it's not ideal for company wide use, especially if the company has overseas offices. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? UI design, some UX design and prototyping.

Streamlines my workflow

What do you like best? Sketch is clean, lightweight and fast. It's also very well thought out and removes inefficiencies that were in previous programs I've used for specifically website design (e.g. Adobe Suite for web design. I also love how simple and intuitive the user interface is. I learned Sketch in less than two weeks, and now use it often both at work and on a freelance basis. The ability to add plugins is great too. What do you dislike? There's not much to dislike here, ...

I love working with Sketch

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for web designing purposes. But once I learned about Sketch I will never try any other solution. Sketch does a great job when it comes to responsive web design. I can easily insert new artboard in desktop HD, tablet or mobile device and to export components in the size that suits me, like: 1x, 2x, 3x in JPG, PNG, SVG, etc. Furthermore, Sketch’s plug-in is extremely powerful, it allows me to ...

Uso de sketch para web

What do you like best? What do you dislike? El principal problema es que sólo lo pueden tener ...

Definitely the best product for UX Design

What do you like best? It's a pretty lightweight program so it doesn't make my computer lag or take forever to load up. What do you dislike? I wish there was more opportunity to collaborate with teams in real-time Recommendations to others considering the product: If you are doing a lot of collaborative work with larger teams, Sketch may not be the best option for that. Figma works better for that but otherwise, the two programs are very similar. What problems are you solving with ...

Best program for web design

What do you like best? I like that is fast, it's not a photo editing tool like photoshop, and it was really built with this era of web/mobile/app designs, where multiple teams are working on multiple designs and can share symbols between each others. I love that symbols can be manipulated without affecting the layout it self. What do you dislike? The look (icons etc could be improved, looks a little old. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...
