Are you using Sketch?
Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Sketch is macOS and iPad only—if your team uses Windows or Linux, you'll need a separate tool or browser-based alternative for those users. The color picker has a known lag when sampling from external applications, which matters if you're matching brand palettes frequently. Before committing, verify in a demo that Sketch's component system (symbols) works for ...Read more

The new industry standard for UI design, design systems, and prototyping
What do you like best? This is tailor-made for designers who screen-based interfaces. It is easy to use, has a whole marketplace and community of plugins that add superpowers to the base interface. It is incredibly affordable and the team is constantly improving the application from version-to-version. What do you dislike? It can become a bit slow and buggy and said awesome plugins can cause some headaches when exporting to other services via plugins (plugin conflict. I wish it had ...

Easy to Use Application Design Tool
What do you like best? I like the ability to create symbols within Sketch to utilize throughout mockups. They're a great way to utilize components in multiple places and only have to update it once. I absolutely love the ease of creating artboards, and the workflow around different viewpoints and versions. Also, a very under-appreciated aspect of Sketch - is the autosave! What do you dislike? The ability to create a style guide for items in my artboard. Sketch should be able to have a ...

Easy to use, easy to learn. Would recommend to anyone looking to get into graphic design.
What do you like best? Sketch is very easy to navigate. I started using sketch as a non-technical designer in training for the startup I work at. Within a day I was using sketch as if I had been using it for years. Now I've learned how to do things like prototyping and landing page design, it continues to be the perfect tool! What do you dislike? More standard artboards would be nice. For example artboards for different types of product labels would be helpful. Navigating layers can ...

Easy, straightforward and useful tool for UX designer
What do you like best? I like how straightforward it is to build the structure of the website and mobile app. Instruction is very clear and not confusing at all. This software thinks extra for me sometimes when I have to measure for pixel perfect. What do you dislike? I know this app is mostly for building the outline and putting things together rather than designing the image or creating the logo, but I wish Sketch has more resources to be able to create visual designs, too, so I ...

A great Adobe Photoshop Alternative
What do you like best? Sketch is a great tool for designing website and mobile applications. It's similar to Adobe Photoshop, so it is easy to pick up if you are already familiar with Adobe products. My favorite feature in Sketch is multiple pages and the ability to create multiple artboards inside a page. This really helps with organizing the project. I like that Sketch is vector-based and you can create vector shapes inside Sketch. Exporting assets is very easy. There are a lot of ...

Sketch is a powerful prototyping tool
What do you like best? The interface is easy and straightforward. It's ability to batch and export vectors on the fly makes my work flow quite efficient. Its screens setup makes prototyping way easier than hand sketching. What do you dislike? The controls and shortcuts are a bit difficult to get used to. Considering most of my work is in Adobe products, the shortcut keys don't necessarily line up and that can interrupt my flow for a bit. Not a big deal, but thats definitely my biggest ...
