UX guy who thinks he's a developer (but definately not), trying to make the best of Sitecore

What do you like best? Experience editor when the templates are SUPER flexible so I don't finish a project and immediately have to spend money on IT to get more design flexibility. What do you dislike? Not much really... For me, its budgetary. I spend more than I'd prefer on getting functionality and templates built that are not out of the box functionality in Sitecore. Recommendations to others considering the product: Get a good implementer who can help guide you. What ...

Simple, Easy Way to Manage Content

What do you like best? I love how simple it is for me to author content on the platform. What do you dislike? Sometimes it is frustrating to my content authors with just how long the media library takes to open. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We solve managing a lot of content authors on the same platform, while being able to assist with troubleshooting.

Digital Engagement Manager

What do you like best? I like the full marketing portal and experience profile that is continuing to be built out. I also like the granularity that we are able to create goals, campaigns and taxonomies throughout the setup for more automation and leveraging greater efficiencies. What do you dislike? I dislike how clunky some of the architecture can be and the amount of workarounds and development that is needed in order to share content across a global setup. What problems are you ...

Robust content management which sometimes feels heavy

What do you like best? We are able to granularly assign permissions to 480+ content authors across 14k+ pages which allows for unit-specific users to champion their content; as they know it best. We've customized workflow to allow a "central" review process to aid in the adherence to our company style guide and standards. What do you dislike? While this is super helpful to our organization, it often feels heavy when "central" needs to be creative on the fly. I think this will be ...

Sitecore | Limitless Possibilities

What do you like best? Connectivity to any data source, data exchange framework, customization. What do you dislike? Entry level doesn't exist. It's a steep learning curve and takes a development effort to do most things. A sitecore partner is almost a requirement What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Selling homes, lots of exposure.

Sitcore 8.2 review

What do you like best? Sitecore is an incredibly flexible tool, a lot of user friendly and non-developer friendly as well. What do you dislike? The media library is not really suited for large amounts of media. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Having multiple content editors across the US, means that we have content being put in differently across the US, and this helps us put a little control on it, and allow them to flexibly ...
