SITECORE REVIEW

What do you like best? From a developer stand point, I am able to quickly develop new features and functionality. The flexibility is great. From an authoring stand point, The content authoring process we use is highly customized and has been easy to work with. We have some fairly complex workflows and the system has been able to handle all of them. we have about 100+ workflows in the system. The ability to manage permissions on the workflows so only the appropriate users have access to ...

Allows marketers to update their own content/imagery/pages

What do you like best? granting authorship of content to the SME (Marketers) w/o requiring coding exp. What do you dislike? currently on 8.2. Lack of consistency w/ UI. UI doesn't work well on lower resolutions. Shared/final layout - after migrating from 7.2 it caused a ton of issues. Recommendations to others considering the product: Make sure you know Sitecore before implementing to make sure your implementation is correct and flexible (thinking of future state) so that it can ...

Stuck in promises

What do you like best? Flexibility. No limitations on technical possibilities. What do you dislike? Stuck in promises, towards partners and their customers. Most actual example (on the project I work or) is the release and follow-up on ScForms. The functional limitations that were present at launch are (for the most part) still there. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Commercial- and UX improvements on web- and e-comm projects.

Sitecore Balances Power and Flexibility

What do you like best? I love the flexibility that comes with the Sitecore editing experience. As a developer I'm able to easily leverage C# MVC to create powerful components that meet all of my client's needs. What do you dislike? I wish search was easier to set up and customize. Out-of-the-box Sitecore comes powered with solr, but creating custom indexes is a pain. Also, it would be nice if there was an option to have the search engine crawl pages in their entirety like google or ...

Sitecore experience

What do you like best? Ability to customize the experience. Runs on .NET. Every new edition comes with more features. What do you dislike? The upgrade process could use a little work. Supporting custom integration or the process of it would be helpful. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Gathering user data and making a more engaged experience. That it gets harder and harder to get user data.

Connect Everything

What do you like best? Sitecore is a very extensible platform - they either have out of the box integrations with most of the major platforms or you can easily build your own. What do you dislike? You have to implement carefully - very powerful platform and potentially to break things if you dont know what you are doing. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We implement for customers to help them tie together various systems and meet ...

Great trainers and documentation

What do you like best? As a new user to sitecore (content author) it is nice to have many online sources for video tutorials and web documentation for implementing projects. What do you dislike? Not so much a dislike, but a wishing there was more information (that I can find), maybe haven't located it yet surrounding implementing personalization in 2019. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Publishing photos and other content in one ...

Solid platform with room for tremendous expansion

What do you like best? A relatively newer platform, there is room for growth and expansion of capabilities and services, most features currently feel like freshly launched post-beta. What do you dislike? Extensive development effort required to use the platform, very few native features out of the box. Recommendations to others considering the product: Great platform if you have dedicated development resources to develop requirements. What problems are you solving with the ...

The good, the bad and the ugly

What do you like best? The core CMS functionality is by far the best on the market. It has been the corner stone of the suc6. What do you dislike? All the 'new' marketing functionality is not of the same quality, nor technical, nor business value wise. This has been the case for years now. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Personal engagement questions from customers. Benefit stays today more in segmented approaches and not yet ...
