Sneaky practice in an otherwise great resource

I have my Scribd subs on pause most of the time because I cannot work so I cannot justify the ongoing expense. I'm happy to let a month's subs go through when I use Scribd resources for something. There used to be an email warning when subs were going to be restarted but this has stopped. I was in hospital when it renewed and only realised when I saw my statement. Greetings of the day When I used Scribd for one month free I really appreciate and enjoyed it. But when I started subscribing is either the book I want is not available or only in PDF and audio which I don’t really prefer and some best seller and new books are not available in your sites . They rob you of your money

They rob you of your money. I canceled my scribd subscription in Jan 2021. They kept charging me till November. I tried to call, email to no avail. Finally I disputed the charge in my credit card with my credit card company. I got just that month charge back. What about the other 10 months. No one replies with any responsibility. Me han robado los datos bancarios

A mí me están cobrando sin ni siquiera haberme hecho una cuenta nunca, no sé cómo han averiguado mis datos bancarios, esto es una estafa!!!! EDITO: y siguen mintiendo, si ni conocía la página, cómo me voy a crear una cuenta! Con quien me he puesto en contacto es con mi banco, me fío más de ellos.

Scribd is the worst

Scribd is the worst! It asks you first to use your Google or Facebook login accounts then subsequently it says you have to subscribe and pay after you have allowed them into your Google account credentials and contacts. This borders on scamming behavior!

Unlimited my shoe!

I took them seriously when they said it was unlimited and I was dipping in and out of books. I had saved about 7. Then suddenly mid-way through my second paid month I lost access to all the popular titles in my areas of interest-travel,history and education. I must have dipped into too many books. I will see if they come back otherwise I will be unsubscribing. I would happily have limited myself and been more judicious if I knew the real policy but I find this very shady.

This is ridiculous

This is ridiculous! All I want to do is give Scribd my money all day long and they won't fricking take it. This is the modern mystery of mankind why the F can't your company take any credit card payments are you morons? It's mind-boggling, because people want to give you money and you won't take it! Infuriating.
