Most of time with Scribd is enjoyable, but...

I have enjoyed most of my time with Scribd and have enjoyed MANY books.. but there are 2 major issues that bother me. 1) the largest is that each month I'm in the middle of a series, or have my reading order set up, and all the sudden EVERYTHING is unavailable and will not be available for 20-30 days. 2) there are books missing in the middle of a series so that is strange to me. I love using Scribd

I love using Scribd! The price is reasonable compared to others and easy to navigate. I even have turned a couple of fr I do wish you carried complete series of authors so I don’t have to go to another place to find and read. I also think parental controls and a family plan option could be beneficial to you.

Just another scam subscription company

Just another scam subscription company. Do not support this company. They provide a terrible service and they use extremely predatory subscription tactics to get the MOST money possible if you're not very careful. Who every runs this company should be ashamed.

Do NOT get sucked into their free trial!!

I am very upset at my experience at Scribd. I signed up for a free 30 day trial while I was in Europe, with my non-European credit card. It was a condition of the free trial that a credit card be entered, and I am always wary of these things because that means they have the ability to charge you at any time, especially if you forget to cancel, because some companies don't remind you and just quietly let your trial lapse, but I was assured that we will get an email to remind us before the ...

This is a scam! I went on the platform merely to change my card information because I wanted to use an alternative method to pay my subscription fee. There and then I came to the realization that I no longer had access and I was being offered a free 30 days trial. When I went to the section to update my information, there is no card information there for me and I am being told I do not have an active subscription but hey my card is being charged every month. I subscried to Scribd over a year ago and always struggled to download or open what I wanted to read. Long correspondence with the company was frustrated by them either ignoring my emails completely or just sending a nonsense reply, or the same reply over and over again. In my frustration, I cancelled my subscription, and went right through the process until the cancellation was confirmed, and I have just been charged again via PayPal.
