I listen to a lot of books so Scribd is great because I can listen to a lot for one low price per month. I can find so many books and subjects for which I have interest. Loving it! Excellent!

Inability to cancel my subscription; please help

Please help! I inadvertently signed up for a free trial and Scribd took £10.99 from my account at the end of September; I understand this is a monthly sum. However I do not use the site and wish to cancel the subscription but the website is not allowing me to do this. It takes me around in a loop but I am totally unable to cancel my subscription and this is creating maximum stress and anxiety. I am a bookworm, and have had many books in my collection. But I always end up donating, because it’s too many books to keep up with! For me, Scribd has been a great solution! I can read as many books (and more) as I want without the commitment of keeping up with physical copies.

Love scribbed

Love scribbed, I probably listened to at least 20 bucks so far. Never had any problems. I download the ones I want and listen all day long while I'm at work. Don't have to worry about an internet connection

Charged annual fee without warning or permission

Scribd offered me a free trial, with a promise to warn me before it would expire – and they did! By offering me an additional free month, specifically, and THEN skipped out on warning me when that extra month was up. Then, one month later, they changed my subscription from monthly to annual – they didn't get my permission to do this, they didn't even warn me before they did it.

Unused subscription

I signed up for a free trial because I needed to some school materials for my son. Signed up with my credit card in order to get 30 days trial period. Got an email saying they will let me know before trial period ends. I never used their website again. Ten months after, I realised I’ve been charged $8,99 a month. Liars. Limit what you can access after just 1 book.

They seem to advertise unlimited audiobooks, but after I listen to 1 my options go down and the more I listen the less options I have. After listening to just 1 audiobook if I go to search for another audiobook it tells me that the title will be available next month conveniently around the time my subscription renews. However if you save a lot of audiobooks to your saved lists you will be able to listen to these at least. I did test it once and when I removed an audiobook from my saved list ...
