PEOPLE! PAY ATTENTION! A little while ago I was doing research for a paper and stumbled upon this company. I wasn't really sure if I could trust them or not, especially because of all the reviews that said otherwise. How can SCRIBD cheat with such impunity ! I signed up for free trial and entered credit card details as required. How can they simply debit my card when I did not sign up for paid subscription ??? They do not have any working helpline or customer support ! My account page shows I do not have any membership so I am unable to even discontinue....why should I be forced to pay for services I never signed up for and am not even using ! PLEASE BE FOREWARNED THEY ARE COMPLETE FRAUDS !

For 8.99 a month you get all of the ebooks and audiobooks you can listen to. And they are all from the major publishers! Try doing that with audible! For those who had trouble with cancellations, I hope it worked out for you but I don't know why you would want to use every thing else. I hope that they can sustain this business model so they don't have to go back to the credit based system. Thats when I'll probably cancel

SCRIBD IS A SCAM COMPANY

They have been charging my card even though I have removed payment details 1 year ago and no longer have a membership scheme with them. It is a total scam. I never heard of SCRIBD until they charged my PayPal account for $8.99 out of blue saying it is an automatic payment. I was able to login to this thing with google account and it says that I don't have any membership, and payment history shows no payments made. The customer service phone number has a pre-recorded message that says that they don't provide any assistance over the phone (I'm not sure why they even have phone number). I cancelled my subscription, still was charged

I cancelled my subscription to this service the day I signed up for it, long before the free trial was over. They STILL charged me for it the next month, and I had to cancel it again. UPDATE: Customer service at Scribd proved my original review wrong. I still wish they had a phone number to call, but they emailed me back and fixed the erroneous charge with no hassle!!!

Shady business, keeps charging after cancelled subscription!

Was charged 6 times after I cancelled my subscription 6 months ago. And now they can't refund more than 1 month, because of their "refund policy", just great they have a broken subscription cancellation then. I canceled my subscription twice, once in April and again in September because the charges continued on my credit card for 8.99 a month. They send no confirmation emails neither there is no phone number to call. Highly unprofessional. Need a refund of 6 months of charges
