Free download means you give them your email address and then you go through the next stage once you think you have access to the file and then you have to sign up with your credit card details. What a waste of time to try to get money out of you.

I've never felt more cheated than from this site. When canceling it keeps asking if you are sure you want to cancel, while this function is hidden between feedback options and other stuff. Therefore were I charged for a month, which I feel tricked into... Wouldn't recommend this site to anyone.

I wanted to give this high ratings

I wanted to give this high ratings, however, on my recommended books for you, a bunch of dirty books, that make me feel disgusting are there with no way to remove them. Titles and topics that I have NEVER even thought of looking up, let alone actually looked up. I have asked for them to be removed, and they do not respond to you. I have contacted through facebook and their submit a request. I think I am canceling this subscription. Thank you for your response here. My ticket number was 1909262

Wanted to download a GANTT CHART TEMPLATE but was asked to sign up. Signing up with Google account is fast and easy so I said why not. After signing up (which is free) I should have been allowed to download the file but NO. You are then asked to complete TWO MORE STEPS out of 3. This includes signing up for a free month trial which will then turn into 8.99USD p.m. Not transparent advertising, cloudy pricing techniques.. Disappointed.

Exactly what I was looking for

I tried Scribd on trial period and was a little skeptical at first, but as soon as I started using it daily I realized this is the most eco-friendly option to reading book there is. I use it on my Asus Zen Tablet and it works perfectly. So far I found every book I was looking for and it's great to know they have audiobooks as well, although I'm not a fan of that medium. The price is not bad either.

Great prices, huge variety of books! I started using Scribd around a year ago on the free trial period and never looked back! They have a HUGE selection of audiobooks and books about anything and everything and a ton of bestsellers! I love how convenient it is - you can read anything, anywhere - just open the app and voila! Highly recommend!!!

Super scammy have to confirm three…

Super scammy have to confirm three times cancellation process. They spent a lot of money on analytics and UX to make it really hard to notice you haven't actually cancelled, just asked to cancel, and you still need to scroll down a bunch and find a little confirm link, twice.
