we've given this tool so many chances…
we've given this tool so many chances only to be disappointed over and over again. problems with every single recording. audio out of sync, quality during calls makes it impossible to have a conversation, complete recordings lost. what a massive disappointment. to the point where i'm wondering how this company is actually able to survive. the software just plain does not work. and you can read proof of it everywhere on the web.

The tool could be great, BUT the reality is cruel
I found Riverside.fm while searching for the best recording / podcast tools to start recording videos and interviews as part of the content strategy. After taking a look at the website and their offer, I decided to give them a try. My first option was a free account with 2 hours of recorded tracks, Riverside logo on the videos and 720p quality of videos. They are the worst!
Save your time and money! I have a podcast that I create and upload to Spotify. I use Loom and other software to Record and edit my audio video podcast. Recently Spotify announced that they were partnering with Riverside for editing on their platform so I figured it would be a good opportunity for me to check out what Riverside had to offer. THEY TOOK A LOT OF MONEY FROM ME WITHOUT GIVING ANYTHING!!! EVERY TIME I ACTUALLY TRIED TO BUY THEIR PRO SUBSCRIPTION, THEY DECLINED MY CARD, BUT WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE THEY STILL CHARGED ME, 14 TIMES!!!!!!!!!! KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! Seems like a scam
Seems like a scam, I did a recording, when I did it was crisp and sound was perfect. The day after there were noises and volume was very low, oddly enough, they had just the tool to fix this issue, and for the low low price of 24$... how very convenient

What do you like best about Riverside.fm? I like the ease of use the most. I'm in Kansas, my podcast co-host is in Virginia and the browser-based software just works. I'm able to pull full quality video and audio files back down from our sessions confidently.

"Best software for podcasts, hands down"
What do you like best about Riverside.fm? It does what it says it will do, for a reasonable price. The recordings are of professional quality because audio and video are recorded locally. All of my friends who have podcasts use Riverside too and are very happy with it.

Wish I read these reviews first
Wish I read these reviews first. I found them through a podcast affiliate link and signed a 6 month contract. Major lag in the live feed it was weird. The whole premise of the software is flawed based on my experience, the upload is occurring during the recording and caused the lag to be so bad there was a 10 second delay, like doing a podcast in on dial up or something it was pretty bad!

What do you like best about Riverside.fm? easy and quick to use great customer service -- was curious about receiving email notifications for billing purposes with receipts and was connected to Anne. i really appreciated that she was supportive and I felt really "heard" as a customer, which I'm always grateful for.
