Absolutely abhorrent company
Absolutely abhorrent company. Preys on the less tech-savvy users to intrude and collect data. What started as an astonishing example of AI ingenuity in one of our meetings that involved a paid user, resulted in insertion into all of our company meetings without consent. We first experienced Read.AI when a professional consultant joined a teams meeting. Didn't pay much attention to read.AI which joined shortly afterwards, and once the meeting was completed... was pleasantly surprised to ...

Sophisticated Meeting Notetaker
A little more pricey than some meeting notetakers, but also one of the most sophisticated ones I've used.Pros:- Sentiment, engagement, charisma, talk time, and word per minute analysis.- Video highlights and trailers in addition to the full video recording.- Can ask questions about particular meetings or all of your meetings, making it easier to ask questions about entire groups of meetings or finding a meeting you lost.- Excellent UICons:- Need to purchase $30 per month plan to have video ...

Experienced Read User
I have been using Read for almost a year now. I have read many of the negative reviews. Regarding security, I have inquired about security from the company and got their SOC 2 Type 2 audit results, as well as a lengthy explanation of the security and privacy of my data. They are a fast growing startup, so everything is not perfect, but as a note taking tool and now and AI copilot, I would have trouble living without it.

The app is unreliable, not for important meetings
The app is buggy. You cannot rely on it to take notes of important work meetings. 1. It sometimes doesn't enter meetings that have been on your calendar for some time now, even those that appear in the calendar within the Read.ai dashboard. 2. Even if you add it manually to a meeting, it may not record/transcribe the meeting. Happened with me, even though I am a subscriber of the Pro (paid) version of the app. 3. Support team doesn't respond on time. If you need a reliable app to record ...

If I could rate less than 1 I would
If I could rate less than 1 I would. When you sign up they create multiple accounts. When you “cancel”, it’s a never ending back and forth with their awful customer support to try and identify and delete all these accounts. They will then tell you they can’t delete accounts for “security purposes”. COMPLETE SCAM and AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Malware, not software
Malware, not software. Read.ai attaches to MS Teams and reappears at every Teams meeting, despite efforts to remove it. It never asks for a prior authorisation and is conducive to illegal behaviour as taping discussions without prior agreement is not permitted in most countries. Astonishing that MS is lending its platform to such outrageous malware-like programs.

Shady Software & Non-Existent Customer Service
Software continues to show up on Teams and Zoom meetings even thought it's been disconnected and I've deleted my account completely. I've contacted support 3 times now over the past week and they just keep closing the tickets as "Solved". This is the epitome of shady business practices and anyone considering this software should avoid it like the plague. Also, the user named “David Shim” leaving a review is the CEO if that tells you anything about the shady-ness.

What a piece of ungodly crap
What a piece of ungodly crap! These mentally challenged developers made the distribution viral and extremely difficult to remove. Basically, the app virally attaches to your Teams, if a meeting participant used it. Given that it is a recording app for calls, and recording calls without explicit consent of all participants is illegal (criminal) under most civilized jurisdictions, this app is a danger to humanity. Dear developers, go die in a ditch!

Meet Your Perfect Meeting Assistant
It works great for summarizing my meetings on Zoom, Microsoft, and Google. I joins automatically, sends me notes, and reminds me when follow-up items are due. It's like a personal assistant. With the defaults, make sure to review, but it's pretty clear from what I can tell.
