QuickFile pros and cons

  • Offers an intuitive, user-friendly interface for easy navigation, even for those without accounting expertise.

  • Provides a free version with extensive features, making it ideal for startups and small businesses with limited budgets.

  • Supports professional invoicing and seamless bank integrations, streamlining financial tasks.

  • Cost-effective compared to other alternatives like Xero or Sage, with transparent pricing for additional services.

  • Limited customization options for headings and categories, which might not fit all industries (e.g., sports clubs).

  • Some features, like handling credit notes, can feel quirky and non-intuitive, requiring workarounds.

We have found QuickFile to be ideal for our business. It is easy to use and logical for non-accountants to use. I have not seen a better product in this class in terms of value for money.

I've used Quickfile for 8 years now and have never failed to be impressed. For the first few years I used it free of charge but as my business grew I started to pay the very reasonable fees. We operate a business bank account and a client bank account and turnover £1.4m+ a year. I've been recommending it to the other small businesses that I operate with. I especially love the 'trading styles' features and find it very versatile. I employ a very experienced accountant who uses the system and ...

Quickfile is an excellent tool

Quickfile is an excellent tool for accounting, which I use for two charities and my own limited company. I use the free version but find the bank feed feature well worth paying for on top.

Quickfile for me was a great find.

Quickfile for me was a great replacement for Xero. It’s simple, clear, easy to use and did everything I wanted for a freelancer. It’s free mostly for me. I would like to see the tagging feature tidied up and improved. Matching expenses to previous suppliers is good, but I think can be better. I’d also like the ability to run a pdf invoice and send it via QuickFile without creating an invoice location for the client. Very good and intuitive software for the non-expert

Very good and intuitive piece of software for the non-expert. The support channel is also a great resource to fine-tune to individual requirements. Have not used facility to engage an accountant for submissions etc., but based on experience to date, I would certainly consider this.
