QuickFile is straight forward and intuitive to use. Its links to HMRC are seamless and easy to use. Its free. What's not to like?

Really good accounting software
Really good accounting software. Really worth the small annual fee. My only criticism is that it often throws me out when in the middle of entering a large invoice. I press save often, but it still throws me out very frequently.

Ideal for an IT Consultant just starting out...
I have been running with QuickFiles for almost a year now and found them excellent. Invoicing is straight forward, and you can customise the lpoopk and feel just enough to give you a personalise look.VAT returns are very simple with the link in to HMRC.I have yet to perform my year end, however this even appears to be a simple operation. I have already reccomended them to another collegue who is contemplating starting up on their own.

Useful software to get started with…
Useful software to get started with basics of bookkeeping and accounting. As you grow, unless you have prior experience, it might be useful to get a bookkeeper to assist to ensure you're doing everything right.

I selected Quickfile to comply with…Making Tax Digital
I selected Quickfile to comply with MTD. So mainly for electronic VAT reports. Without a finance background I did not expect much else, but the system is very intuitive and I now have full confidence in the operation of Quickfile, and the reports that it generates. Profit and Loss for any time period at the press of a key, supplier and client history, emailing of invoices; all these have sped up our accounting and provided insights into the financial operations.
