"Excellent managed service for Spark, Hive and Presto"
What do you like best? Very good customer support. The support team has worked very closely with us whenever we have had any issue. Their service is great for managed Hive, Spark and Presto. What do you dislike? Their UI does have some issues which tends to display cached configs instead of the current configs. Additionally their access control over their clusters can be better. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Having a managed service for ...

"Has some issues but gets the job done"
What do you like best about Qubole? Autoscaling is nice, nice that Presto and Hive are supported, Airflow integration is cool What do you dislike about Qubole? Support could be a little faster at times, Notebooks are rather iffy Recommendations to others considering Qubole: Definitely weigh the needs compared to other options such as EMR and DataBricks. EMR is a little too bare-bones and lacks lots of useful features, and while DataBricks is perhaps the most polished, autoscaling ...

There's been a huge issue with these things for most platforms. What do you dislike about Qubole? There's a huge issue of stability. There are multiple down cycles and larger issues of lag in the UI. Recommendations to others considering Qubole: Give it a shot, there's gonna be a huge wave of users if stability and lag issues are addressed What problems ...

"Qubole Automation"
What do you like best? The best part is being able to schedule queries easily and get an email notification for completion or failure. What do you dislike? I dislike all the different parameters required to make the queries run more efficiently. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Being able to run queries for business purposes on a routine basis.

"great product for data extraction"
What do you like best about Qubole? The upside of the qubole is that we are able to pull raw reports from the data lake which allows having a detailed insight about the campaign's performance. What do you dislike about Qubole? The amount of time it takes to run a query is the only issue. Recommendations to others considering Qubole: It would be a great help if the report finishes quicker than 1 hour What problems is Qubole solving and how is that benefiting you?
