Impact

What do you like best? I have been using from day 1, other competition came, but I stuck to the brand I trust and works best! What do you dislike? Nothing, the program works great as it is. Wouldn’t change a thing Recommendations to others considering the product: It is a pioneer in the page layout field and now has many more design features, it was good then, but it’s even better now! What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I’m ...

Go to Art working software

What do you like best? Easy to use software, that allows me to produce results very quickly, From concept artwork to print ready documents. I also love how i can quickly edit artworks to turn from Print to Digital. Year on year quark bring new features to the software, Making it more powerful and simpler to use and less reliant on other 3rd party software to get the desired results. What do you dislike? There are always times where you want to try something new, I kinda wish that ...

Same Quark

What do you like best? We enjoyed the familiarity of use switching from InDesign back to Quark. What do you dislike? There is a lack of evolution in simple steps. Quark could do more to enhance simple tasks like test run around, font size increase and decrease and enable more right click mouse options. Recommendations to others considering the product: It presents a great value with features that are on par with other design programs. Be prepared to adjust to a new user ...

Easy transition!

What do you like best? I like how easy formatting can be for our newsletter. The guidelines are always helpful! What do you dislike? Sometimes Quark can be quite picky and difficult to learn right out the bat. Luckily I was able to have some training on an older version before upgrading and really understanding how the program works! What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Our original plan when COVID started was to switch to an online ...

A powerful subscription-free alternative to Adobe

What do you like best? Over time I became tired of keeping up with Adobe's endless updates and subscriptions, and the pricetag that came with it. For those who want a one-and-done deal, Quark has always been a great alternative, and nowadays it's become a standard part of my design toolset. Using color fonts and managing UI comps are a breeze! What do you dislike? There are times where Quark may lag a little when using the toolbar to change leading, colors, etc. In a few cases the ...

No discount for persons with disabilities (subsidy program)

I downloaded the product Quark Express for the first month trial, was good but since I'm not a student at a university or faculty member I don't get a discount on the product and have to pay full price for lifetime license around 2300.00 CAD, the price for students is maybe 135.00 USD. Next to nothing. In Alberta Canada we have 1693.00 a month called AISH and many benefits that are included with the program. They should cover the cost of the product or subsidize it. After the trial period ...

I've used QuarkXPress for years

What do you like best? QuarkXPress does everything I need it to do and is very easy to use. What do you dislike? The only thing I dislike is the cost of upgrading to a newer version. Recommendations to others considering the product: Short learning curve and then easy to use What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I design books and I used to produce school newspapers, and QuarkXPress allowed me to do professional-looking work with ease.
