2020 QUARKXPRESS SAVED MY PROJECT
What do you like best? All of the new features, but most importantly, I could open my older files from 12 years ago. What do you dislike? I did not like the change of the layout and the way the fonts function. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I had to download Quarkxpress Document Converter that was very confusing to get things going correctly. some kind of tutorial should have been accessible.

I recommend Quark
What do you like best? To me, Quarx Xpress is the only publishing program that can be used. I am a loyal user and already started with Quark 3.0. It is typographically superior best, and has given me the best results in my magazine publishing time. Quark is also now strong in digital solutions, it started several years ago and has developed very positively. I recommend Quark from a professional perspective. What do you dislike? Nothing. Quark is perfect for me.It works the way I ...

Quark meets my page layout needs, and more.
What do you like best? Good solid program, particularly the intuitive handling of images. Reliable output. What do you dislike? While licenses are perpetual (which I very much like), the Advantage subscription makes upgrades prohibitively expensive for very small businesses like mine. Recommendations to others considering the product: Just give it a try! What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I'm currently experimenting with HTML5 ...

My most appreciated layout tool for almost 30 years
What do you like best? What I particularly appreciate about QuarXpress is the design of the type area. I love the way the fonts are implemented. For book typesetting, as I design it for my customers, this is a fundamental feature. What do you dislike? I personally am very satisfied with the program. Since 1993 it has provided me with everything I need for my work. Recommendations to others considering the product: Just try it out. The software is worth it. What problems are ...

2020 version makes the step from print to digital painless
What do you like best? QuarkXPress is now the easiest way to create a website—far easier than wading through endless WordPress templates, or going on Wix or other template-based sites. This means that, for the first time, you can go straight from your print using your brand and your fonts and colours, to fully functioning, clean web content without intermediate steps. This is in addition to the industry-leading print and design features, which Quark has been aggressively developing ...

A complete system for design and typography
What do you like best? Quark press continues to be the only software that allows you to create complex documents with a traditional and standardized methodology just as you are used to create text flows, characters, paragraphs, indexes, rules, tabs, etc, allowing you to create templates and models that are easy to use and replicate. What do you dislike? The manuals and help systems that comes with the software, they used to be better Recommendations to others considering the ...

Been using Quark daily since 1992.
What do you like best? It works. One can place elements to 1,000th of a millimeter, there are no formatting hang-ups (as one gets with Word), things stay where they are put (unlike Word!) and it's very versatile, allowing one to produce any kind of print material from a business card right through to exhibition stand graphics or from a simple sales letter to a complex multi-fold leaflet, magazine or newspaper. It's also licence based, not subscription based, so one is not forced to pay ...

Quark Xpress is still the one
What do you like best? Everything that made Quark Xpress the original and best page layout program is still there. But they didn't rest on their laurels, they have regularly upgraded the product to find ways to continue to be useful and relevant. Despite everything that Adobe tries to throw at Quark, it is still a superior program for most of what we do. Whenever we're forced to use 'that other product' we cringe just a little. What do you dislike? Would it hurt so much to include ...

Slight learning curve, but now I prefer it to Adobe!
What do you like best? I like how easy it is to place images and to adjust the image settings for wrapping text around them etc. It's also very easy to import a new image into a previous image location if needed. The new Quark 2019 and 2020 improved their toolbar and moved it to the bottom so now it's much easier to edit fonts, size etc. I'm very happy with this change! What do you dislike? Since the recent updates that came with the 2020 version, I'm honestly enjoying everything ...
