Prolific Reviews in August 2026: User Ratings, Pros & Cons

Support keeps closing my request without answering or helping me. They don't care about their customers.

Almost 500 submissions in total and I received a "PEC-SUB-0002" (Your IP address has been flagged by our system) error overnight. I've sent them two emails about it and they keep closing them without answering or helping me. It's obvious that something has changed within the company and that they're screwing things up and ruining their platform.

Not worth it...unless you are broke and desperate!

You can earn a small amount of token change on this website. I have been doing it pretty consistently for about six weeks and have yet to earn $200. It is certainly not a replacement for a job by any means, nor would I recommend it as a side hustle. Most surveys pay less than a $1.00 (USD) -- literally pocket change. nothing against the company the website is great and I love using it - but there are dry periods with no surveys for days, definetely something to get like extra 20 pounds a month then a job

best paid survey site

Straightforward and full of opportunities to both make a little cash and to learn about/contribute to interesting studies. Does a far better job than other paid survey sites at matching you to studies you're qualified for.

The academics surveys are very interesting. Instructions are always clear. Payout is relatively fast. Been with them for 2 years now.

Generally good

Generally good, I have been with this company for a long while and done over 1,000 surveys. Recently, I am noticing for the first time that researchers are more likely to reject surveys after they have been completed. Sometimes, prolific don't help either, meaning you have used your time for free. I don't think that's fair or ethical hence the three star not five star review.
