Prolific Reviews in August 2026: User Ratings, Pros & Cons

Quick and Easy!

I quickly was able to join this site and begin completing surveys. The lengths range from short (about 2-3 minutes) to long (45 minutes) in my experience, and you are paid fairly. Some surveys will provide you the opportunity to complete further surveys for a higher pay. My only concern is that recently I have not received any surveys.

It is easy to take surveys or studies…

It is easy to take surveys or studies with prolific because whenever you you encounter a problem you can always contact support which doesn't also take forever to reply or solve queries. The platform is also nice because you can report researchers who are fraudulent and prolific always looks into the matter.

A lot of the studies I've participated in have been pretty fun! A nice and easy way to make a few extra dollars!

I don't get enough studies

I don't get enough studies. I only get them after 2 weeks or so.

collected all my data and then thrown off site

I signed up, provided all my data, went onto a waitlist, then invited to join, asked for my drivers license which I uploaded, along with a selfie, did a practice study, all verified and okay. When I did not hear anything for a week I signed in to see my account was on hold, spent time contacting customer support to be told that after an automatic and manual review my account was banned. No reason why, I have no idea what went wrong but they now have my sensitive personal information as well ...

Prolific's Great!

Although they have a relatively long wait time due to how studies work, the studies they offered are surprisingly simple & impactful. They also pay surprisingly well.

Best survey site I have tried

Easy to understand and navigate the site. Have gotten accepted to most surveys that are listed for me. Most surveys are short and interesting.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE SO FAR

Unlike other survey sites, Prolific is all about truth in their research findings. They don't pound you to repeat the same answers over and over again, they ask those basic questions once - in your member profile, and use those answers to make their baseline decisions about who they will offer certain surveys to. I've only been using it for maybe 4 days - total work involved incuding setting up the lengthy profile questions, maybe 3 - 4 hours? Already I have over $50 in my bin. I haven't ...
