Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Photobucket has been a longstanding platform for storing and sharing photos, but recent changes have left many users feeling frustrated and deceived. I have to admit that the only thing…

I have to admit that the only thing that keeps me tied to Photobucket is the free html code that you can put on your website which turns it into a slideshow. No one offers that service freely. But I am ready to jump ship at the slightest breeze. Photobucket is a graveyard of cringey pop up ads with clickbait articles, sex infused ads fill the screen. Photobucket is like that bad boyfriend who swears he will change, but then continues to abuse the significant other. They promise that they ...

What an awful service they have....

What an awful service they have. Photobucket should be ashamed they provide such poor service and want to charge for this abysmal service. Like many other similar services of photo/video sites it’s all about money only. However, Photobucket has to be the worst. Their last email to me was appalling worded and an insult. A horrid company. Have vacated their site. Good riddance.

Sticking pencils in your eyes would be less painful

The site is one of the worst I've used, it's a complete disaster. Navigating and trying to do simple tasks become a nightmare as things do not work. Upload pictures to your libraries "desktop" or front page and they'll go into an album dedicated for something else. Moving them or creating a new album takes an exploration and time as the icons or buttons to do so either aren't where they should be or do not work. Deleting photos etc doesn't work unless you download the app. Avoid this like ...

Very Disappointed - avoid at all cost.

I have signed up for the service for a full year (as they were offering a discount) mainly because they were advertising access to their API through the "developer" link on their website. When I contacted them to try and get the API key, they told me that they don't offer API. When I asked for refund, they said they don't offer refunds.Interface is extremely buggy. Uploads don't work: - Tested with a single mp4 video - failed- Tested with a single image - success- Tested with multiple ...

Worst Than Having Malicious Software on Your Computer.

I've done hundreds of business transactions since 1996 for online internet products and services and I will state, beyond a shadow of doubt, Photobucket is the worst business I have ever dealt with. I purchased a yearly paid membership to get rid of the infestation of advertisements that displayed during the "free" version. Then I uploaded photos to share with friends and family, only to find out that now they were being bombarded with a solid wall of disruptive advertisements unless they ...

Trustpilot was a great site when I…

Trustpilot was a great site when I signed up to it all those years ago however it has now deteriorated to a point where it is overpriced and useless. I no longer want, need or use their services, but they still managed to take a reoccurring payment from my account and have refused to refund it, despite not offering any level of subscription for the amount I had inadvertently paid. So they get £25 and I get nothing in return.

I trusted Photobucket for years to…

I trusted Photobucket for years to enable me to post images to online forums. Now all those embedded images are locked, and Photobucket is demanding $400 a year to enable these historic images to be seen. An unethical, and very disappointing ransoming of the time and effort I've put in over the years, while foolishly trusting Photobucket not to shaft me. Avoid like the plague.

Photobucket evolved from a mediocre but…

Photobucket evolved from a mediocre but usable site to an annoying site; then to a disgusting site full of inappropriate adds and ugly suggestive images; then to a site so slow that you were considering switching already and finally, since all of that wasn't bad enough, they took all your images hostages, broke all links to sites built over the past 15 years and started demanding ransom to the tune of $400/year.I am shocked Photobucket is not taken to court and that they still operate. Do ...
