I was once a very good customer through paypal. I even used there credit. It has been about 7 or 8 years since I have used this account because I do not buy online alot anymore. I recently bought a xbox from microsoft store. I used my paypal to cover my butt. I waited for a couple of weeks nothing. Closed system that sucks

Closed system (no IBAN, unable to feed account with a card), then usage sucks (Revolut & HSBC cards & account failing to work except for a initial debit operation which took ~1€ from each accounts to "test" if it works). Use Revolut & convice your friends to leave Paypal !

Ignore their advertising about being a…

Ignore their advertising about being a ‘safe’ way to pay online. Hubby paid via PayPal for a mobile phone. It was a poor fake and hubby set up a dispute. He was instructed to return it tracked as seller would refund once received; he sent it off incurring more costs. The seller refused to accept it and it came back to us several weeks later. PayPal closed the dispute against us... so emphatically NO I WOULD NOT recommend!!!

No use whatsoever

Changed my surname but it’s taken 3 months of getting nowhere with PayPal. Different advisor every time asking me to provide the same documents over and over again. Rung support line which after 10mins of automated jargon tells you that no one is available to take your call and disconnects. Absolute shambles

High charges and poor customer service. Avoid.

PayPal always overcharge, often with hidden charges which you only notice when it is too late. Bona fide payments are cancelled with no explanations and yet appear on your bank account as pending debits, so you will be charged but the payee will not receive the money.
