PayPal are nothing less than thieves, a hidden enemy some might say. I purchased a bike on eBay buy now instant payment. I opened a dispute with PayPal as I believed the bike was fake and later realised the jpeg within the listing was that of a genuine item so I closed the dispute. I had about $200 on my PayPal account before they decided to force me to confirm my identity. As I am underage I expected them to close the account which they did, the email I received about my account closure stated that the money in my account would be instantly returned to my linked bank account. I highly recommend that you DO NOT use paypal.comif there is a problem with your account they lock you out permanently. Horrible customer service. They do NOT provide contact info for supervisors and anything else. They use you for all the fees and then throw you out like trash. Dealing with them is the worst customer service I had to deal.

Been using paypal for years, thought i got protection until I needed their help for a scam where the item i purchased hadnt arrived, and the company website had been removed.They provided tracking information for someone elses address showing my parcel as being delivered - i contacted the courier and they confirmed this. Doorbell purchase

I bought a doorbell from someone in China. I never got a confirmation on the purchase or any shipping information. I opened a dispute. They closed it and said they had a tracking number and it got delivered. I never got the product and had to order a different one. Now, I'm going to have to dispute it with my bank. Why would they have any part of a company that's scamming people is beyond me.
