What do you like best? Solving interesting business needs, allowing users to improve their data needs What do you dislike? Some design desicions can have negative impacts on user experience. Recommendations to others considering the product: Get in person training, never stop learning! What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Storing large volumes of data in an ASO database, using partitions to allow for fewer aggregations of data.

Excellent Product

What do you like best? Veristile and easy to use and analyze data. What do you dislike? SmartView is clunky and has several issues compared to prior Essbasee add-in to interact with data. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Data analytics, expense, revenue, and metric reporting

What do you like best? I like the flexibility of Oracle Hyperion Essbase. What do you dislike? I dislike Oracle Hyperion Essbase's logs the least, since it's challenging to find and figure out issue. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Tracking and reporting financial information.

What do you like best? Essbase is fairly easy to use and understand once you use it for a little while. What do you dislike? Because essbase is fairly easy to use and customize it can lead to people creating custom scripts and data fields that are not utilized across the organization What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Essbase helped create reporting tools that were needed within the business.

HFM user uses Essbase

What do you like best? I come from accounting background and HFM administration. I had to pick up Essbase administration when our expert left. Comparing the two, Essbase is much easier to build, change, even re-create is something goes wrong. We have been able to build cubes for special purposes and different hierarchies when doing it in HFM would be too difficult/time-consuming. What do you like best? Reporting capabilities. Ability to slice/dice data in anyway you want. What do you dislike? Less than ideal ability to lock/restrict users from submitting data into invalid intersections (I.e. Ad-hoc grid allows for restriction of dimensions/members) What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Product level profitability reporting

Long Live Essbase

What do you like best? The power and flexibility of Essbase is the best in the market. Even more excited to see and work with OAC and the use and ablity to tie in the other applications.
