What do you like best? You can quickly slice and dice data at a high level, forcing you to focus on the big picture What do you dislike? hard to drill back into transactional details What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Financial planning and forecasting. We can push that down to all end users instead of having a simple excel model on one persons computer

What do you like best? Customization is very easy and reports can be extracted in simple steps. What do you dislike? The product is overall to be worth buying. Essbase is Easy!
What do you like best? I love how easy it is to use. The depth and flexibility is fantastic. The integration with Excel is also great and makes things easy and more integrated What do you dislike? A lot of the different languages make it hard to be profiecient in knowing all of the functions . Calc scripts, MDX and business rules are a lot to have to know and keep on top of. used for hyperion
What do you like best? this was the required DB for hperion and it satisfied the requirements for the hyperion product we are currently using What do you dislike? I find it very difficult to navigate in essbase it is a relational database and i am not as familiar with it What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? none

What do you like best? The growth in the product over the years to address business changing needs What do you dislike? Lack of relevant Integration API's without use of report scripts or MDX Recommendations to others considering the product: Understand how the product fits into an Oracle SOA to better understand the services and API options What problems are you solving with the product? Essbase load rules SQL interface
What do you like best? I heard the load rules will not have the SQL interface in the future. I think it is a progress, because all that can be accomplished in the interface can be moved upstream to the SQL staging server with "views" or other features. What do you dislike? Robust analytic tool with lots of new features
What do you like best? We use Essbase, Planning, FDMEE and HFM in our company, and we really like the data analysis ease for reporting purposes. For planning and budgeting needs Hyperion has been our buddy for last 8 years now, and we absolutly love it. We recently got into FDMEE/ODI integration too whch really widened up the horizons for enhancements. Really like all applications UTILITIES and the ease to administer data and meradata. What do you like best? Rapid aggregation of data in both BSO and ASO, ease of use via smartview for self-service reporting for business users, depth & flexibility of function library for writing calculations, financial intelligence. What do you dislike?
