What do you like best? Multi-tenant features are really useful if you are looking to consolidate databases and want to save memory and CPU cost. Multi-tenant allows patching, backup of multiple databases togather. What do you like best? New features of Oracle multi-tenant, pluggable databases and building large DBaaS environments on Exadata What do you dislike? Patching, particularly through Oracle Platinum Services is a challenge. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? What do you like best? Documentation and the concept of container and pluggable databases What do you dislike? The multitenant architecture is good. However, it requires an enterprise license. Most customers can benefit from the feature if it were available with a standard license. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? building a framework on the core database - benefit includes the flexibility of cloning databases

I like small plug-able databases
What do you like best? I like the smarter optimizer and plug-able databases. I like soundex also. I can use java in DB layer. What do you dislike? I would like the better developer tools for oracle. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I use for banking and trading systems. Most requirement is the reliable system and deterministic behavior.

What do you like best? I really like the fact that database is reliable. I am confident since I have been using the technology since Oracle 8 and know and understand the evolution of the product. I like the options for backup and use both RMAN data pump. I continue to learn and try to stay on th latest technology options. I plan to use 19c soon. What do you dislike? What do you like best? The compatibility with all the previous versions. Moving to 12c was a simple process with minimal issues. What do you dislike? Not complete support for JSON and XML... What do you like best? Tons of features, love the pl/sql and new autonomous path oracle is going in. What do you dislike? Licensing is somewhat confusing, and the learning curve is steep. Great database to work with for enterprise solutions
What do you like best? Integration using API's makes it very easy to use in Enterprise Java Applications What do you dislike? Using it locally for development takes a lot of space when you setup the developers edition on your local device. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Our company is using for years Oracle databases. Most customer data is stored.
