Omnigraffle is pretty good

What do you like best? Omnigraffle shines when putting together site maps or flow charts. There are a lot of great resources for templates and stencils that can help speed up your workflow. What do you dislike? Export, especially to PDF, feature could be improved. Also, I haven't found Omnigraffle to be as widely integrated, as other programs like Sketch or Photoshop. There are a lot of great integration for prototyping, spec-ing, etc. available for Sketch & Photoshop. What problems ...

Robust but useful

What do you like best? Many different tools for multiple use cases. What do you dislike? Sometimes difficult to maneuver, especially when creating sitemaps. Not intuitive enough. Recommendations to others considering the product: Spend a fair amount of time looking at all the features and figure out what you need. Many features and tools get buried. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I've found Omnigraffle to be really useful for ...

Really low level of control

What do you like best? Omnigraffle is somewhat like Visio for Macs, its super simple to use but very difficult to use well. The things that are cool is that its easy to learn and has cool force alignment tools which make it easy to do things like change the orientation of a site map from vertical to horizontal super fast. What do you dislike? The snapping effects are awful, its really hard to control where things are going and basic things, like an arrow pointing to a box, are ...

Simply the best diagramming software for the Mac.

What do you like best? Look, I'll just lay it out there: I've been using OmniGraffle for almost a decade, and it's an essential part of my work. Whether I'm laying out a house, whipping up a quick iOS wireframe, or diagramming complex workflows for a client, it's always nailed it. What do you dislike? The only downside is Omnigraffle's lack of support for iCloud sync between the MacOS and iOS versions of the software. It supports syncing, but only using a proprietary-but-free ...

An App Full of Promises - Mostly Kept

What do you like best? Omnigraffle has been around a very long time as far as software goes. It's stable, usable, powerful, and backed by a stable company who won't disappear any time soon. It's like the swiss-army-knife of UX tools. It has a HUGE user-base, and lots of templates and stencils (both paid and free) available. What do you dislike? Because it's like a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none, Omnigraffle doesn't really excel at any of its given feature sets. "Oh cool - an ...

Omnigraffle has been an extremely versatile and dependable tool for my UX design work.

What do you like best? I think the speed and performance of the program is the best thing about it. I can quickly and intuitively throw designs together and not worrying about the app slowing down over time, which PS or Sketch tend to do. Templates and stencil customization is also great, especially when it comes to building flowcharts. What do you dislike? The learning curve and placement of functions in the app takes some getting used to and may not be as intuitive or pretty as it ...

Good for wireframing

What do you like best? Omnigraffle is working really fast and it's really easy to use. Best for fast sketches, graphs and for showing connections between any object (screens of an app for example). What do you dislike? It is not easy to set document size. No pixels. Only pt and who knows how many pixels will be in output. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use Omnigraffle for wireframing of mobile apps and websites. Or any other ...

Good until last year when it became obsolete because of Sketch.

What do you like best? Easy of use. Smart inspector. Smart guides and alignment. What do you dislike? Pro version is overpriced and Standard version is not good enough. As a wire-framing tool is just too slow and after using it for years I moved to Sketch because is faster, provides more flexibility, they develop new features and improve the software more frequently and is more open to the community with lots of plugins that help you get things done they way you need it. ...

Go-to software for IA and site-map style deliverables

What do you like best? Omnigraffle is great for creating simple wireframes quickly and easily. The library and third-party support is excellent and varied as you would expect from a well established application such as this. It's a well polished piece of software with great ux design in itself. Many of the editing tools and controls have been well thought through. What do you dislike? I tend not to use Omnigraffle so much anymore but I think this is more a reflection of how ux design ...

I use Omnigraffle daily as a UX Designer

What do you like best? I create mockups of changes to web applications as a part of the development process in my company. Sometimes these are entirely new features, but usually they are changes to existing user interfaces. My typical work flow to grab a screenshot from our application. I place the screenshot on a background layer, then block out sections using the rectangle tool. I lock the background layers, then draw new UI elements on top of the background to illustrate the change ...
