What do you like best? I like the feature of having multiple scan scheduled for different areas, for e.g. local desktops, linux, windows, etc. What do you dislike? What do you like best? Nessus really makes it easy to see problem areas in your environment. You can quickly allocate resources to mitigate those areas where critical vulnerabilities exist. " I find the functionality useful"
What do you like best? I like the vulnerability prioritization functionality best. It helps to determine which vulnerabilities to need to be addressed first What do you dislike? Not always easy to learn. Training could be better. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We're trying to solve some of the shortcomings of Qualys. ie. better vulnerability detection.

"Powerful but easy to use"
What do you like best? I like the fact that Nessus provides you whith all of the information you need to resolve any issues found. What do you dislike? Nessus can on occasion get out of sync and results are a bit wacky, doesn't happen often though. Recommendations to others considering the product: Good appliance. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Passing Federal Examiners audits!!!!!

"Great vulnerability scanner...easy to use!"
What do you like best? The software is easy to use and setup. It has a large database of vulnerabilities and will alert you to issues including malware, missing patches, mis-configurations, default passwords, etc. Lots of options for exporting the data: CSV, PDF, HTML, etc. What do you dislike? What do you like best? - Security Center's ease of use while providing useful information. - Interface is very user friendly - Updating policies and scans are simple - Creating queries is extremely easy What do you dislike? What do you like best? Nessus just works! I am able to create scheduled credentialed jobs and add my hosts. I know the job will always run and always produce the needed results. This helps me stay on top of our organizational risks. What do you dislike? We tend to lean towards open source software whenever possible. What do you like best? Ability to throttle scanning as to not cause system impacts. What do you dislike? Reports could be more flexible. Would like to have greater flexibility for vulnerability management as opposed to leveraging another tool. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
