Totally happy with what it's meant for
Never used hosting or anything other than the domains and domain-related addons from Namecheap. Because come on - they're not a hosting company after all. But what I do know for sure is that domains-wise the service is just awesome! It's exactly what I hoped it would be which gives me a sense of control over how I interact with NC. I love this feeling :- And the prices are ok as well.

Customer support at it best.
I had the need to contact customer support at namecheap.com and was helped by Anna G.Anna G. identified the problem fast and had me back online in no time. She was friendly and very knowledgeable about what was wrong.Online companies can learn a lot from namecheap.com on how they handle service tickets and treat their customers.Thanks again Anna G and namecheap.com

Reliable and Cheap
We have used a few domain registrars previously but since finding Namecheap we have been happy to stick with this company. They run lots of promotions through the year to discount domain registrations, transfers and renewals. Around Thanksgiving (US, you can get hold of incredibly cheap .com domains. Highly recommended!

My personal experience with them has been fair. Good prices, good support, and I’ve been with them for nearly a decade. Hosted numerous domains with them and they recently helped me address a billing issue with a couple hours.

Otherwise good, but do not save credit card to Namecheap Education.They'll steal your money automatically, and do not even tell about it.Only tell you should renew it, which doesn't tell it will auto renew.Even if you disable autorenew in the Namecheap.com console, it will still bill it.Use Privacy.com or similar prepaid card system.

I have used namecheap for several years now. I foolishly turned on their double authentication system using Google authentication, swapped phones and lost the login. I asked the support to turn the double authentication off, they want me to go through their new authentication business they've now setup and provide then with an instant photo from a webcam that I don't have and copies of photo ID like my passport and send it to a foreign country to me. Vorsicht bei .de Domains!Meine Domain ist trotz auto-renew ausgelaufen und in der Redemption-Period gelandet. Von Namecheap.com wurde mir dann Angeboten, für 208,88 Dollar die Domain zurückzuholen.
