Namecheap hosting, awful experience

This is for Namecheap hosting. My site has gone down on me FOUR times in the last 3 months and I have to switch. It's less than 10 pages and built on Wordpress; there's literally no justification for issues like these. Three of the four times it's been a "technical error" they can't explain to me. I purchased a VPS that had ubuntu linux…

I purchased a VPS that had ubuntu linux installed, but wasn't actually linux. Just the terminal. I'd have to pay another 11/ month to install and run on top of the 22/ month for the server. Support was slow and unhelpful and there is little documentation for beginners in the VPS field.

Don't expect cooperation from the legal department

This relates specifically to their support and the legal team. Having submitted a DMCA claim via the relevant website form, Namecheap failed for some days to respond to the ticket until chased via chat. The ticket was then incorrectly reassigned to a different department, in so doing, losing the all important DMCA portion of the claim and eliciting an irrelevant canned reply. Horrible support

Horrible support. Completely lacks common sense.

If you just want a domain, this is OK. Customer support is horrible.

Don't use namecheap. Cost me thousands.

I registered some domains with namecheap, to save a few bucks. Worst mistake ever. The card I had on file was set as the default for all payments, so when I got an email saying that my domains were about to expire, I clicked the link they sent me and verified that the card was set up, based on the email they gave me. 2-Year Customer

None of the domain registrars are perfect but I've been a customer of many of them and Namecheap has to be the best. I also really appreciate that they accept cryptocurrency.

1st Class Service

I've had 3 domains registered with namecheap for over 10 years now and I've always been happy with them.The prices seem competitive, the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and communicate well and messages are answered quickly. 1st Class service. Oh the website interface is nice to use too.
