It's great for small set of data
What do you like best? It easy to use for a smaller set of data and can be connected to multiple reporting and analytical tools like SSAS which help if we want to explore the data through different angle. What do you dislike? Cannot deal with large data set and poor performance when the size of the data exceeds certain limit. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? it acts as primary data layer for one our application.

Excellent Enterprise Level DB Solution for Windows Platform
What do you like best? MS SQL Server is easy to deploy and has various advantages over other enterprise level DB solutions. Installation is easier compared to Oracle and does not need a huge amount of resources to start with. Easy to learn and maintain. An excellent back end for SharePoint portal. What do you dislike? What do you like best? This is an industry standard and is well used everywhere. As a result the support is massive and it's easy to obtain forum help etc... What do you dislike? What do you like best? The administration is fairly easy. A SQL Server can be set up quickly and run without much management from a DBA. Some work is needed to configure the instances, but the platform tends to run very smoothly for us.
