Great Cloud platform for those who are already familiar with Windows!
What do you like best? Azure is a highly extensible cloud platform. It not only provides the familiar look and feel of Windows, it has one of the best hybrid cloud architectures for enabling workloads in the cloud with an onpremise connectivity. From a system management perspective, it is easy to use. Their System Center integration is quite interesting as well. What do you dislike? Some of the networking options are restrictive for higher bandwidth requirements. Certain instances are ...

Overly complicated
What do you like best? Easy to spin up an application or VM, good storage options. With an EA agreement billing is far simpler. What do you dislike? Interface still feels overly complicated and clunky. Costs ramp up quickly. Recommendations to others considering the product Be prepared to have the interface change often as Microsoft continues to add features and improve the interface. It's still clunky, but each iteration is an improvement over the previous one. What business problems ...

Microsoft Hobbyist
What do you like best? As an individual, their low-end costs are still somewhat affordable for a basic web server with ms sql. Even upgraded to the first paid tier, I pay less than GoDaddy's MS web host. It integrates with Visual Studio sufficiently for me. Although there are a lot of options, figuring out the basics in the portal was not bad. On top of that, I still have the ability to scale up and generate new environments. I have not spun up a virtual machine but will likely check it ...
