"Great program for making a large database of information"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? I like that Access has powerful capabilities to do a large workload faster and easier than inputting a ton of data manually from somewhere. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? Microsoft Access has a steep learning curve and it is not an easy, self intuitive program. You need to have some in depth training to understand what every function does. Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Access: Use this program when handling a lot ...

"Access takes a huge understanding of how databases work to set it up"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? I like that the software was part of my Office Suite purchase and there was a ton of help available, accessible from within the program, by searching the web or youtube. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? For me, and I would like to think I am on the high end of competent with computers, it was difficult to set up more than a simple database. I would love for there to be more templates to use, as I wasn't able to find the perfect one to ...

"Limited access but what I use is very helpful"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? Primarily I like its ease of access since our Department is high volume, and runs at a breakneck pace. We deal with a lot of databases so Access is a must. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? Can't quite come up with a dislike on this one since I'm a pretty limited user. Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Access: As with all Microsoft Suite products i would highly recommend it. What problems is Microsoft Access solving and ...

"Good for Managing Small Data Sets"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? I like Access's ease of use for managing small data sets under 2GB. I can join tables and then use other tools to query that data. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? I dislike the 2GB file size limit which means I can't use access for a lot of my data sets. I also have to use compact and repair to reduce the file size after deleting data as it doesn't get completely deleted from the file otherwise. Recommendations to others considering ...

"Good for small, simple databases and good for the query tools"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? Honestly, I use the built in queries for duplicates and non-matching frequently. What do you dislike about Microsoft Access? I first learned Access on an earlier version. The more recent versions were less intuitive for me. What problems is Microsoft Access solving and how is that benefiting you? Using the Find Duplicates and Mismatched queries are very useful. I upload a monthly list and see what isn't matching up.

"Microsoft Access user for over 5 years"
What do you like best about Microsoft Access? Microsoft Access makes importing our general ledger from various programs into Microsoft Dynamics very simple. I am able to export Quickbooks general ledger detail and APS general ledger detail into Microsoft Excel then export it to it into Microsoft Dynamics using Microsoft Access. I just cut and paste into a file created and import into my Microsoft Dynamics software. Microsoft Access is inexpensive and doesn't need to be upgraded often. What ...
