A good counter to folder-based systems

What do you like best? The abstarction of objects and their relationships allows basically building a prototype of pretty much any business process. Related or not to documents. What do you dislike? The search is very strict with spelling. Some intelligent analysis of misspellings either in search or in the document metadata would help a lot. Recommendations to others considering the product Put effort into information and document management models and architecture. Be ready to ...

Implementation in Local Government

What do you like best? M-Files strong points are in the ease of use and the powerful search capabilities. We loved the change from "where it is" to "what it is". It has some really powerful features in the back of it but still can be simple enough for the end user just to "easily file and find their documents". It works great on mobile platforms and integrates well with the Microsoft suite of products. What do you dislike? In all products there are room for improvement. I am happy to say ...

Excellent ECM Platform and EDMS but heavily Windows platform based

What do you like best? The M-Files Administrative interface is easy to use and configuring a document vault is also relatively simple. The system objects, classes and types make understading of the metadata structure also relatively easy. Search functionality is very powerful. The system is a full ECM but in our case only the document management portion and regrettably traditional folders are being utilised. What do you dislike? The system is heavily Windows biased. It still does not work ...

Good solution for document management

What do you like best? The ability to customize the system to suit the company's needs; the ability to use scripting to automate processes. Custom views are an efficient way to find and organize content. What do you dislike? The current web interface is outdated and buggy, and most configurations to the desktop and web clients have to be made separately for the two platforms. Web platform configuration is difficult (requires the use of scripting and Windows registry editor. The user ...
