Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Loom has completely transformed the way I communicate with my team and clients. Instead of scheduling back-to-back meetings, I can now record concise, engaging video messages that my colleagues can watch on their own time. The ability to share my screen while adding narration and visual cues has been a game changer for clarity and productivity. I particularly ...Read more

Loom pros and cons

  • Loom is widely appreciated for its user-friendly interface that allows professionals to quickly record and share videos without technical barriers. Its Chrome extension, desktop, and mobile apps make screen and camera recording accessible from any device.

  • By enabling asynchronous video messaging, Loom helps organizations reduce the need for lengthy meetings, streamlining communication and boosting productivity across remote and hybrid teams.

  • Users benefit from Loom’s intuitive editor, which allows trimming, stitching, and adding visual elements like arrows, text, and overlays, resulting in more polished and engaging content.

  • The platform enhances engagement with built-in features such as emojis, comments, transcripts, and closed captions in over 50 languages, making global collaboration easier.

  • Since Loom is designed primarily for asynchronous communication, it lacks robust real-time collaboration features compared to platforms like Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

  • Free accounts often face restrictions on video length, storage, and advanced features, which may require teams to upgrade for more comprehensive use.

"Great communicator"

On my mobile phone, I have some issues too in a similar nature. What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you? I'm capable of detailing ...

"One of, if not the best tool I have in my business toolbelt."

What do you like best about Loom? I really love using Loom to send videos to my colleagues and friends. I've noticed that they always seem to appreciate the experience and often compliment me on it. It's like we have a special connection, knowing that they watched the video I sent. And the integration with Gmail is amazing - I love the little preview GIF that it provides. But what really blows my mind is the new AI integration. It's able to accurately describe what the video is about, which ...

"Clients are super impressed by my business because I use Loom"

What do you like best about Loom? I love how easy it is to create videos to walk my clients through proposals, deliverables, and how-tos. It's so impressive to them that they often ask how I do it. And it helps us have fewer meetings, which is a big time-saver. What do you dislike about Loom? I have LOTS of technical glitches with Loom. Processing video uploads takes forever; then, when I try to edit videos, the editor gets frozen. And sometimes the transcript feature either doesn't work at ...

"Saves Times For Everyone"

What do you like best about Loom? I like loom because I can visually share with my virtual assistants what I would want done on the screen. This helps us overcome both language barriers, and the drastic time zone differences. That way they can work on their timeline and I can work on my timeline. What do you dislike about Loom? I wish loom allowed for more than 25 videos for the free version but I know I'm being greedy. What problems is Loom solving and how is that benefiting you? Saving me ...
