Great Reporting and Analysis Tool

What do you like best? Looker serves both technical and non-technical user needs nicely. For technical users, being able to run queries, having tonnes of options with LookML to get creative and have controls on the data is very valuable. For non-technical users, being able to schedule reports, alerts and dashboards are very handy. We are using Looker to both gain insights and react to certain signals very quickly. The migration from our old reporting system to Looker was also very ...

Self taught looker user

What do you like best? I did not have formal training on looker at first, but do the intuitive nature of the software, I was able to figure out how to maneuver the different tools. After the Pilot School, I was able to understand what I had been doing and learned ways to solve problems more easily. The ability to pull and organize data in meaningful way and the ease of sharing it with my teams. The dashboard offers an opportunity to make data that is not easily ingested by my coworkers ...

Best tool for data analysis

What do you like best? Looker has been so helpful for me to compute data and create dashboards for the team. It's extremely flexible and user friendly. The part that you can mark your most-used looker page saves the effort of searching it every time. That's my favorite thing about the looker. What do you dislike? I guess the access should remain active even if an employee does not use it for 10 days/more. sometimes we go on leave and come back to a deactivated account. It's a hassle ...

Great for data modelling

What do you like best? Many BI tools have great visualisation options but data modelling is often poor, expecting the user to present a single nicely formatted single table of data to the tool. Looker is the opposite because you do all the data modelling inside the tool, it is version controlled and easy to collaborate on. What do you dislike? Only basic interactions with visualisations (drill down), no mark and filter type options. What problems are you solving with the product? ...
