Gusto has made my payroll tasks a breeze. I was paying my independent contractor via bank wires direct from my bank for the longest time. So happy that I've found such an easy, user friendly system. I also run payroll for my salary employees which again is a breeze. One note though. If you for any reason run payroll and don't have the money to cover it then there's a chance that they'll freeze your account until you resolve the issue. No customer support

Have to agree with others about the poor customer service. I have been using Gusto for about 6 months and recently ran into issues with their software. Spoke to support on Dec 22 who advised they would come back with a resolution. Followed up on Dec 24, Dec 26, and Dec 28. It is now Jan 4 (2 weeks since the original support request) and there has still been no response.Given the importance of getting payroll in before the end of the financial year, I would have expected support to be more ...

Un-Reliable! Made me wire funds to cover payroll!

Received an email on 12/30 telling me I must wire funds in order to pay my contractors by the due date of 1/4. I had setup the payment on 12/24, 6 days prior. If there was a problem then GUSTO should have notified me much sooner instead of at 7:30 PM on 12/30. And I had to get this done on 12/31, in addition to everything I had to do on the last day of the year. I also had to pay for the wiring fee.Spoke with at least 3 people. Useless. Awful, awful customer service.

Awful, awful customer service. Getting through to someone on the phone is a joke. I called multiple times, was disconnected while on hold. Finally was able to reach someone via email, and they've stopped all communication. Without fixing my issue.My 1 employee relocated to Maine due to the pandemic. My business is based in New York. Simply awful. Worst ever.

Simply awful. They have good software, but customer support is non-existent. Rude, clueless people working at Gusto. The last thing you want is to deal with these people - especially when it comes to bank account information, your money, and your employees payroll. After 3 years with them, we are switching. I promise you will feel like you are talking to a broken record. I don't have patience for this.

Be Prepared to Share Your Personal Info With the World When You Sign Up For Gusto

Be very, very careful about agreeing to sign-up for Gusto's payroll services! Gusto does not respect employee privacy! Gusto will send the email they force you to associate with your payroll account all sorts of private, Personally Identifiable Information. For example, they will send, unencrypted, the amounts of your paychecks to your personal email. This company is a joke

This company is a joke. Not just that they don't have 24 customer support (for the price starting at $25/m they definitely should) - but they don't have any support at all. There is one phone number that is 'currently unavailable' and there is no ticket, chat, email or any other alternative contact option. So, I can't login and my deadline is in 2 days. They don't even say when will they be available again. This is an amateurish start-up.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Average wait time 80-120 minutes per their recording every day for a week, and they shut down at 3pm PST! Send an email on 12/24/20 re year end payroll adjustments. Hope to receive a response by 2022. If you have more than 2 employees, go with ADP people! They cannot handle our 9. Am working on my boss to switch. BAD enough to get us in tax trouble.

This is by far the best payroll software for small businesses. It's affordable, streamlined and beats the other competitors by a mile (including ADP).

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I logged in and submitted a request to be contacted as I had a question, 2 weeks later no response. I called and was on hold for 1 1/2 hours before a woman got on the line and when I told her my question she put me onhold for another 20 minutes only to get back on and admit she didn't know the answer. I asked her if she would have someone call me that did and made her promise she would follow through with yet no contact from anyone. I am beyond frustrated!!! I ...
