From an employee perspective Gusto was a very bad choice for the small business I work for. They sent me an approval email for my health insurance, took money out of my paycheck, and the dashboard shows I have coverage yet I learned the hard way that I don't from the health insurance company because their brokers Mac Rich and Murray Reed failed to complete the paperwork which was required. Be prepared to babysit Gusto
Be prepared to babysit Gusto. They claim to keep you in compliance with your taxes, but I was handed a subpoena for something they should have taken care of. I hired them to save me time in handling our payroll, and it ended swiftly eating up that "time" savings by resulting in three days of back and forth. I had to finally resort handling the tax compliance myself. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME, MONEY, ENERGY, AND GAS FOR DRIVING TO AND FROM OFFICES!

Terrible Customer Service
Perhaps Gusto is okay if you never have any issues, but if you ever need to talk to someone at the company, forget about it. I have had several questions that I tried to get resolved and found that experience to be horrible. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone. After emailing Customer Service, I waited several days and received a cursory response with a link to a help page that did not answer my question. This happened multiple times. Terrible customer service.

Started with the introductory offer - V. POOR
Started with the introductory offer. 4 boxes - issues with all of them. The first week I was refunded £2. After this I contacted customer service (several times) and received 1 email, which said - thanks for the heads up we’ll inform our customer services team....Didn’t address the issue at all. Moved on to Hello Fresh, won’t go back as the customer service is non existent.

Update: Gusto was very quick in resolving the issue after this was posted. I appreciate them escalating the problem and resolving it.I feel terrible having to post this but after using this service for almost 4 years I have seen this company at its peak and at its current lowest. Customer service used to be great, I don't know if they started to outsource their team, however, if they have they need better training and communication skills. Follow up:I have left messages for Gusto in the last 5 business days: no response in usual Gusto response. Gusto still has not uploaded the corrected W2 forms so I cannot respond to the SSA and pay for my employees to re file 2019 taxes.This mistake is entirely their fault: they failed to correctly enter the information form Paychex. This error has resulted in over a thousand dollars in CPA fees (for investigation when Gusto denied I was their fault), and I have new fees to pay for ...

Yikes you get what you pay for
Yikes you get what you pay for. Interested in cutting costs?My CPA switched to Gusto in the Q-3 and they were in charge of my payroll. By the time they added on their fees it was outrageous. I terminated my payroll services with my CPA and moved to ADP for Q-4. The CPA never deactivated my account and GUSTO automatically kicked out incorrect 940's, 941's, W-2's etc... Abysmal support
Abysmal support. 60 minute hold time just for them to create a support ticket. The support ticket takes 5 days to respond to. This is after they had a huge screw up and got our health insurance canceled.Update: There is no reason whatsoever to reach out to customer "support." Unless, you want to wait an hour on hold and have absolutely nothing done to help. The original issue was caused by Gusto using the wrong email to register our health insurance. Gusto - NO customer service
It's really simple - customer service is non-existent. I've been trying to solve a simple W-2 item (add state wages & state withholding) for the last month. Heck, I even emailed what the W-2 should look like. Gusto can't seem to do this and there's limited response, followed by more limited or non-existent response. What happened with this company?
