Not quite as user friendly as 4 years ago, but still the best option out there.

Had a great experience years ago. 5 stars. I signed up with a new business and had a very rough time (I think Gusto grew exponentially). There were glitches and some customer service issues. BUT they came through and helped me. I still think Gusto is the best choice out there, and I expect some of the roughness from the rapid growth will continue to get smoothed out. If things are smooth over the next month or so, I will upgrade to 5 stars.

Customer Support has completely bombed. Waiting 20-25 days for support.

Gusto used to be a great service. Their features are great for small to medium-sized businesses. That said, their support has completed bombed over the last 6-months.We've requested things and had to follow up multiple times to even get a response outside of automated emails from their system. My son Found a catapilla in the kale

My son Found a catapilla in the kale , when raised this issue with gusto I was told and I quote “sorry about your buggy issue” . I was offered my one meal in the form of credit off the next box that I will not be getting! Really bad customer service not happy about the the bug in food as kale and instructions do not say to wash first . Let down and angry.

accounting malpractice, no accountability

They hire people right out of college who don't know anything to do your taxes--and there's no way you can stop them. They've cost us $30k by filing taxes incorrectly (and they admitted it was a mistaken "automatic" filing), and no one will get on the phone to help us sort this out.

Gusto is Disgusto

We just joined Gusto. Let me say, we are now calling it DisGusto. As other reviewers have stated, the phone support is hit and miss. They have given us a lot of incorrect information. Their software has issues processing historical payroll. The pay stubs are incorrect, overtime is calculated as bonus, the year-to-date totals are all off, etc - their response to this was to just tell our employees the correct info. You Have Been Warned

Pre-Covid Guusto was an ok solution. Now, it feels like abandon ship. Calls for support take 40+ minutes to get through, and they are not helpful when you do. They have made mistakes on numerous client accounts (we are CPA firm). Their own website is not directing clients to SELF HELP and even Self-reviewing IRS letters from which Gusto created the issues in the first place. If you are considering GUSTO you have been warned. This is by far the WORST payroll…

This is by far the WORST payroll company. I strongly advice you do not sign up with them. I have used their support by chat, or phone, they provided conflicting information. One agent would say one thing and the next agent would say something completely different. If you email their support, takes weeks to respond. if you have any urgent issue, you will not get it resolved. They have mess up my payroll and it's been two months, sitll can not get a straight answer.

Customer Service Non-Existent

Gusto tech support appears to not exist. We opened a service ticket in March, and haven't had ANY movement or updates, even after said "escalations" in almost 2 months. Looking elsewhere for payroll services that can offer customer service in a timely manner. This is ridiculous.

Worst payroll service ever

Worst payroll service ever. Each payroll they ask for screenshots of my bank account. This information is very sensitive and private as we do contracts for the government. Gusto will debit that money for payroll and taxes out of my account each week, but will delay the payment to my employees.
