Unhelpful

I am having some technical issues with my gmail account and tried all the recommended solutions on their help page. Nothing works. No real customer service, just a page of "helpful tips". No good and not at all helpful at resolving the problem.

No-Nonsense E-mail For Those Who Demand MORE!

I am a tech-savvy individual who has been around computers all his life, and I have been on the Internet since '94. Back then there was very little to do on the Internet and hadn't blown up the way it has now. The first few websites that were search engines and e-mail clients were rudimentary and served their purpose back then, but since everything must and eventually does evolve those websites outlived their usefulness. A few ( like Yahoo! and Microsoft ) remained and were unchallenged, ...

Very few pros and way too many cons

Pros: it's free and you can get plenty of help online from other users because of the frequent and numerous glitches Cons: freezes frequently, kicks you out frequently, sometimes in the middle of composing an email and then makes you sign in again, rarely remembers the user name and password no matter how many times you check the "Remember me" box and Google most unfortunately has some sort of monopoly with quite a few computer companies so it's automatically assigned to you and then keeps ...

Gmail is a pig to use

I have been using Gmail on an Android phone, Windows 10 laptop, ipad air 2, and Windows 10 desktop for a number of years, because I wanted to be able to see sent emails on all devices, regardless of which device I send an email on. For this it was brilliant. For years the various guises of Microsoft mail software failed dismally to do this. An email sent on one device would not be visible on the others. More recently Microsoft Outlook 2016 has rectified this issue, so the reason to use ...

The best mail app is now the worst

The best mail app is now the worst. Mail is set to synchronize, yet I have to manually refresh to see new updates. Phone's mail app is showing latest gmails received and works even faster. Gmail is slow as hell. And to search an email in two places is the most stupid thing. Why do I have "Most important" and "All", if some mails are shown in Most important and some in All. Worse experience!

Use Something Else

It's been absolute garbage lately. I was emailing photos to myself (to back them up) and then I got locked out of my account for almost 24 hours because of "excessive activity" or something like that. Lately, every other time I try to send an email, there's a server error, even though my wifi is fine. And every single time after I sign out, it says "Please wait..." and nothing ever changes. Lousy.
