"Lots of possibilities, few implemented"
What do you like best about Epic? The capacity for information sharing is enormous, and being able to access inter-facility chart notes. What do you dislike about Epic? The inability to check in a patient while chart notes, a workqueue and the schedule are open is maddening. So much possibility to help make things easier, and instead it throttles us. "Let Down"
What do you like best about Epic? When the power goes out Epic saves your last spot and takes you back there immediately What do you dislike about Epic? Epic requires you to click on things in a certain order. One way one 2 ways out, kind of confusing. What do you like best about Epic? Epic is a great system that intergrates with multiple software applications that are utilized through out the enterprise. Lots of options. What do you dislike about Epic? There can be Issues with internet browsers with cache and things not loading properly. "Epic charting system"
What do you like best about Epic? The Excel based charting layout. It is easy to find options and layouts that allow you to customize your workspace. What do you dislike about Epic? Tabs tend to disappear if you don't use them often. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? Used as a charting system, but am able to pull data for research relatively easily.

"As good as there is out there, which is a shame"
What do you like best about Epic? Lots of hospitals have it which allows us to share with them. What do you dislike about Epic? Too expensive for what it does, and requires huge teams to support. Recommendations to others considering Epic: Look elsewhere if you can, there's no going back from Epic due to the investment in infrastructure that is required. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? Reduce errors, allow physicians to focus on non-paperwork items.

"Adequate Experience for Hospital Billing"
What do you like best about Epic? Being able to perform all hospital billing functions for a hospital in one spot. This includes making a patient statement, managing patient billing, manage claims, manage errors in billings, and other tasks What do you dislike about Epic? Very few hospital billing workflows are intuitive to new users. Different format at all hospitals that I’ve been to Recommendations to others considering Epic: Take the time to learn different methods to do things. One task can have five different ways of completing it. Good to learn shortcuts. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? Time spent. Allows for quick charting
