"Epic Review for ER"

What do you like best about Epic? It is user friendly and pretty much universal. We can see what care patient's received at other facilities. It has different narrators that are applicable to the Emergency Department, which makes it very convenient. What do you dislike about Epic? I can't think of any downsides. Epic is honestly a great charting system. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? Being able to see results from other facilities

What do you like best about Epic? I like how user friendly EPIC is and makes charting a breeze at times. What do you dislike about Epic? how you have to chart one thing in 5 different places What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? the narrators make codes, traumas, sedations, stemis, etc run a lot more smooth

As an ICU nurse, I appreciate that the monitors we have roll over into epic in order to keep up with the demands and frequent monitoring of the shift, the that flowsheets go in body system order, and the creation of your own dot phrases streamline note documentation. What do you like best about Epic? I like flowsheets that are streamlined to focused/pertinent information only—E.G. “Cath Lab Assessment” What do you dislike about Epic? So many of the functions are redundant, yet there are some things with no preselectable options which leave us needing to find workarounds to adequately note some information. What do you like best about Epic? I’ve worked in many facilities that use Epic. I like it’s functionality and how intuitive it is to use. What do you dislike about Epic? To add or change the epic product purchase by your institution, it sometimes feels like it takes an act of congress to get an update or change put through. What problems is Epic solving and how is that benefiting you? I love the care everywhere feature to look up outside records from other medical systems.

What do you like best about Epic? Easy to navigate. Can addendum notes when needed. What do you dislike about Epic? Sometimes a bit overwhelming cuz can look busy but once U get familiar with it, U dont want to work with any other ones. Recommendations to others considering Epic: Take ur time.
