Very good if you have a paid subscription

I found the app to be great. They do use the repetition method to get us to learn and fixate what we learn, so it might not be for everybody, but the game format is fun and addictive (in a good way). I also absolutely love how diverse the lessons are, with gay couples, Muslims, etc, which absolutely reflects society. Just removed a star because the free version is quite limited. But I have the paid subscription and it makes it really good.

Duolingo is an excellent way to become acquainted with a foreign language. In this case, Spanish. It is not, nor does it pretend to to be the “be all and end all” to learning. With that caveat, it is very inexpensive, a lot of fun and a consistently good way to keep up on your language studies. Very happy with using it and I’ll continue to use it in the future.

I have been a user of Duolingo since april 2015 and I just came here to write that I am over the moon by how good this app has gotten since that time. There are just so many helpful tips, explanations and games. I have always used this app together with real life language classes and that really works for me. Thanks!

Excellent app to learn a new language!

Excellent app to learn a new language! The free option is very good in itself and the premium option isn't that expensive, so it feels like a nice deal. Duolingo offers nice animations, verbal auditions of the words, teaches grammar while using examples and it's overall a great learning tool for languages. I recommend it!
