Excellent app to learn a new language!

Excellent app to learn a new language! The free option is very good in itself and the premium option isn't that expensive, so it feels like a nice deal. Duolingo offers nice animations, verbal auditions of the words, teaches grammar while using examples and it's overall a great learning tool for languages. I recommend it!

Very useful for me, although it can annoy at times

After using an early version of Duolingo I quit after they changed and made it difficult to review. Now a few years later I'm back and I like the way they teach small bits at a time, often slipping in a bit with question material. They repeat items you have gotten wrong until you give a correct version and they frequently review previous material, especially stuff you got wrong before. A few times they have popped up an explanatory bit on points that I have repeatedly been getting wrong. So ...

I am honestly shocked with the negative reviews about Duolingo!

I have been using this app for less than one month and it is really helpful. I am not sure why I see so many negative reviews about it here. I am really satisfied that I started learning French again and in a really fun way like Duolingo

You folks are homophobic.

Despite the fact that so many people say it's pushing a homosexual agenda (which it isn't, they're literally just helping to give examples for that kind of situation, and holy god you folks are homophobic), it's great for learning, despite the seen politicization.

Overall great app

With my partners Brother being Gernan I've taken on the task of trying to learn the language. Duolingo isn't a bad app at all but there is definitely a lot of room for improvements. I personally don't mind the new update but did like that before I could hop between units, Mainly because I was getting stuck on tricky questions 😅. I also miss the separate stories as now they are included within the units, this isn't necessarily a bad thing but ive actually already completed all the stories ...
