Confidence in Confluence

What do you like best? Everything is in one place and easily accessible. If anyone needs sales materials or HR policies or whatever, they can find it on Confluence. What do you dislike? Confluence is practical, but not pretty. It doesn't look or feel modern and it's boring in general. Recommendations to others considering the product Try it out and see if it will work for you. It's not fancy, but it gets the job done. What business problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Excellent Collaboration/Company Wiki Tool

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Easy to use, easy to create and share information with other Confluence users in my company. I like the ability to create spaces, easily add new content, whether new pages or embedded attachments of other relevant files. What aspects are problematic or could work better? Sometimes the search functions turns up too many results. If all users would assign tags to pages, searching would be much easier. What specific problems in ...

Powerful, but takes time and care

What do you like best? Confluence is really powerful as a wiki platform. With all of the plugins, you can embed charts and documents into pages and there are a lot of tools for organization. What do you dislike? It's really hard to use on mobile platforms like Android and iOS. The apps pretty much only support searching and editing is just not there. Recommendations to others considering the product It's definitely worth looking. As a managed IT service provider, it's probably not ...

Decent way to share information

What do you like best? It allowed the team to share all the relevant information we needed between each other. We were able to update as needed and became vital to everyone being on the same page for a project. What do you dislike? It is definitely a nice tool to be able to have access to. Many employees at the company I was at were itching to get a wiki like program, but still really depends on the skills of the users using it to answer how great it can actually be, need to look at ...

Great tool to write and document each one of your business departments and create collective work

What do you like best? The simplicity of the interface, how intuitive it is, easy to keep updating pages, and responsiveness on tools inserted into a page. What do you dislike? Not a lot of options to edit once you start writing about something, how bullets and numbers respond without letting you decide when to add space, keep counting, add sublevels Recommendations to others considering the product try to build more tools and features to simplify ux, as it happens with microsoft ...

Confluence is a great CMS, but can quickly grow out of control

What do you like best? Great way to organize information. We use it for technical specs, product requirements, etc.Its very easy to locate information you once saw just by searching keywords. What do you dislike? Its totally free-form user-driven organization capability can lead to a complete mess of information that is hard to wade through to find what you are looking for. That's not a knock so much on Confluence as it is on how users apply Confluence's great organizational ...
