Zight (formerly CloudApp) is a screen recording and annotation tool built for remote teams, marketers, and support staff who need to capture and share visuals quickly. The core workflow—record, annotate, generate a shareable link—works across desktop apps and Chrome extensions. Key features include video narration, image annotation, cloud storage, and a free ...Read more
CloudApp pros and cons
Creates and shares screenshots, videos, GIFs, and annotated content faster than writing explanations or email threads.
Keyboard shortcuts and browser extensions make capture and sharing part of a natural workflow.
Captured content uploads to the cloud instantly and generates a shareable link automatically.
Gives remote teams a visual way to communicate feedback, troubleshooting steps, and ideas.
Uploads sometimes fail mid-recording, resulting in lost content and rework.
Slowdowns during uploads, screenshot capture delays, and cross-device sync issues occur periodically.

Pretty handy tool!
What do you like best? CloudApp has a lot of options and features for taking screenshots and short clips, as well as marking them up, and sharing them in a variety of ways. The "point" markup option is great, as well as the privacy filter. You can choose whether to copy the image/content or the CloudApp URL, you can customize shortcuts, etc. It's been very useful! What do you dislike? There isn't a way (that I know of) to easily integrate with a longer-term image hosting ...

Lightweight and used throughout our company
What do you like best? Easy of use. Can quickly copy/paste links and every screenshot/recording is saved. What do you dislike? "Record" is now the first button instead of "capture." I personally use the screenshot tool much more often than the recording tool. Cloudapp also used to allow you to search by keyword through past screenshots which was a huge value add. Unfortunately they removed this functionality. Also, the sign-in gets wonky at times on desktop and often on mobile. ...

Covers all the basics needed
What do you like best? I use the auto upload feature a lot, especially copying the screenshots so I can paste the image in line. Another great one is the direct link. Unlike Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., the direct link from CloudApp does not have access restrictions and is easy to find. What do you dislike? I've had some issues with having long movie recordings fail. Maybe I had the wrong setup, or my laptop was just acting up, but it was quite frustrating after recording a ...

A practical everyday use app
What do you like best? It generates links from screenshots and copy them automatically, in a way that I just need to press control+V to share. Also it is good to have a records of the pictures shared, and allows to edit them with arrows. What do you dislike? Overall is very good. Just sometimes the notification bar that the screenshot has done mixes with the work that I am doing. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? An image is ...

Makes inter-team communication so simple and clear
What do you like best? I love that I can easily grab a screenshot, add a markup to it and share it with my team in under a minute. What do you dislike? There isn't anything I dislike really. Although I do wish there were some more options in the markup editor -- different text options, etc. When adding in long content it's not the best tool. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Giving instructions on how to access different ...

Top Notch Screenshot Sharing
What do you like best? Been a CloudApp user for quite some time now and tested numerous others inbetween but always came back to CloudApp for the simplicity. It just works all the time. No syncing issues or anything. What do you dislike? At $8/month, it is little pricing in my opinion but worth it. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I use CloudApp to share screenshots, design files, etc across all of the teams I manage.

One of the best apps for productivity
What do you like best? First of all I like that CloudApp is fast and very easy to use. Secondly, I believe the features that CloudApp offers are extraordinary - GIFs creation, annotations, screen recordings etc. At last, but not least, I like the fact that I get notifications when some is viewing my screenshots. That's really helpful. What do you dislike? Lately, I've experienced some issues with screen recordings in my browser. I'm using Mac and Chrome. I'm not sure if there's ...

Great for remote teams.
What do you like best? Great for taking screenshots and annotating them to explain things clearly to developers and customers. It's the only screenshot tool I use and annotate everything quite heavily so there is never any confusion. Also good for recording video/screencasts for training or explaining. What do you dislike? Searching for a screenshot you took 3 years ago on the web interface is very slow, I basically page till I find the right month then click manually through ...

Tons of time saved using CloudApp
What do you like best? CloudApp is super easy to use. I use it on a daily (even hourly) basis. It is very quick to take screenshots and screen recordings and allows me to communicate with my team efficiently and effectively. (a picture says a thousand words) What do you dislike? I can't think of anything that I dislike about CloudApp. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Communicating with our team and clients through a visual ...

Easy to use tool for screenshots and recordings
What do you like best? CloudApp is constantly improving particularly in adding new features and streamlining the user experience. Been using it for about 18 months and many of the feature gaps that I noticed initially have been closed. Taking screenshots is super easy and the editor has now been enhanced with more options. It is a tool that I use all day long and it is a dependable assistant. What do you dislike? Performance on Mac needs improvement, the sync to cloud can be ...
