Zight (formerly CloudApp) is a screen recording and annotation tool built for remote teams, marketers, and support staff who need to capture and share visuals quickly. CloudApp pros and cons
Creates and shares screenshots, videos, GIFs, and annotated content faster than writing explanations or email threads.
Keyboard shortcuts and browser extensions make capture and sharing part of a natural workflow.
Captured content uploads to the cloud instantly and generates a shareable link automatically.
Gives remote teams a visual way to communicate feedback, troubleshooting steps, and ideas.
Uploads sometimes fail mid-recording, resulting in lost content and rework.
Slowdowns during uploads, screenshot capture delays, and cross-device sync issues occur periodically.

Easier communication with team and clients
What do you like best? Easy screenshots and screengrabs. I use CloudApp because it is so much easier to take show my colleagues and clients what I am talking about than trying to use native Mac screenshots. It makes downloading the images quite easily and I've downloaded it on my other devices too because I've become so accustomed to it. What do you dislike? Not too much, I've ran into one bug that was an issue with a version update. Support gave me a link to click and download the ...

Makes it easy to help my customers
What do you like best? I can quickly record a video or screenshot to share with a customer to show them a concept visually without having to explain it in many lines of an email. This saves me from having to schedule time on the phone to screen share. I like that I am able to annotate images as well, not just have a straight screenshot. What do you dislike? I don't believe there is a way to easily pick and choose what items get cleared from my history without manually deleting. I ...

Always there when I need it
What do you like best? Quick easy access and the ability to capture hovers! What do you dislike? Sometimes the GIF functionality bonks. In other words I get error messaging saying that it could not process my GIF. It really needs to get it right all the time. Recommendations to others considering the product: Just get it, it is so worth it. Best quick capture I have ever used. It truly is on the fly. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Great tool
What do you like best? CloudApp makes it easy to record screen gifs, and drag and drop them to places I want to post them on websites etc. The process is seamless, and it seems like the software is a lot more powerful than just what I am using it for. My coworkers recommended it highly when they found out I did not have it. What do you dislike? Sometimes after taking a video or gif, when the editing page pops up, I will be typing somewhere else on my computer, and CloudApp will take ...

Useful app that do not ask much to your Operative System
What do you like best? The easiest way to get a screenshot, shortcuts are amazing for all the kinds of screenshots you can take, the notifications when it's ready on line with the link to share and those email notifications when the image is accessed for the first time What do you dislike? When trying to get a single image at my desktop but not through cloud app I need to shut down the app to do it with my lap then start the app again to continue using cloud app. That's not ...

Great for creating tutorials
What do you like best? I like the ability to create gifs, screenshots, and videos all with one tool. It is also really easy to share things I've created with teammates so that we aren't duplicating efforts. What do you dislike? It does freeze sometimes, but not a big deal. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? creating internal training materials, screenshots and recording for support requests

Great app for collaboration and sharing
What do you like best? As a product manager, I spend a good part of my day sharing information about our product with other teams in our org. Being able to quickly share screenshots and add text, additional information, etc. with cloudapp makes my job easier and makes what I'm sharing much easier to understand. What do you dislike? The lag time from when I clip something to when I can edit it can be annoying What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Simple screenshots pus movie magic!
What do you like best? I love the ability to record both video and gif's via this tool. It makes for far more full featured and useful graphics for documentation and the like (why take 12 pictures when you can just record the steps in one example for your users?!?) #magic! What do you dislike? Honestly, not a whole lot. I've heard of issues with the cloud sync for some of my team mates, but I haven't personally experienced it Recommendations to others considering the product: ...

Easy to use for fast design feedback
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I use CloudApp to provide feedback on designs from multiple creative teams we use in my organization. It's easier to annotate a design than to type out bulleted lists of changes, adjustments, and corrections. I've saved untold hours from the way I used to provide feedback. I've also used the gif and record feature to give feedback on technical functionality on websites and send bugs or glitches to tech support. What aspects are ...
